Going to vote Alan Wake 2 as far as I can through this, but I know it's going to lose massively because it just can't possibly ever get enough votes to topple the more popular titles.
Also, for other matters with this, all I will say is 🤢🤮. I want to know who created the list of candidates for this award. I would be very disappointed if it's Geoff and Co.

The Mac version released back in June. I've no idea if this sort of thing is consistent with previous years, but it's the only logical explanation.
Edit: Looking at the full list, it's probably a combination of that and the handful of content updates -- i.e. new platform + new content = "new" release.

It's because Hoyo gives a pittance of premium currency if it wins. And since gacha players are degenerate addicts, it's all they need.
This always results in fandom wars, give it to something with a fanbase that won't be super obnoxious if it wins like Lies of P or something.
No FE Engage isn't a huge surprise since the game ended up being pretty divisive (great gameplay, awful writing & character designs). Pikmin 4 on the other hand was the true snub.
I meant Pikmin 4 over the wizard game. I get that Pikmin is still pretty niche outside of Japan, but it was clearly the better game.

I know it won't win, but I will show my support for RE4. Best game I've played in the last 3 years. I finished it 6 times.
