There used to be one: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news...-west-virginia-police-officer-settles-lawsuitStill looking long and hard for the mythical "good cop" that some say exists.
This isn't CYA.They are just doing this to cover their own skin. That unit is poison now.
Who wants to be a part of the unit that was taped video a 75 year old man down, where he cracked his skull, and none of you fuckers did anything but watch.
This isn't CYA.
This is them declaring unity against oversight.
My guess would have been more "we think it's impossible to do crowd control without knocking people over (even inadvertently) and we don't want to be punished when that happens."Wait, did they resign because what the two officers did was fucked up, or because they're butthurt two officers got suspended and are figuring out what accountability is for the first time.
They, these are the ones with ideals! They're just so fucking blind or stupid or both that they can't see how wrong they are- much like the cops who sprung dogs on black people a few decades ago.
Yep. It's a terroristic threat from a state sanctioned terrorist organization.
The protests need to continue until every police union in the country is shut down... or burned down. They will never ever self-regulate. Clear as day elder abuse and they still stand together against us.
As I said in the other thread, the thing that shocked me the most was the sheer amount of officers who overlooked the situation. Fuck them.
Clearing the square does not mean they have to shove a frail old man."Our position is these officers were simply following orders from Deputy Police Commissioner Joseph Gramaglia to clear the square," said Buffalo Police Benevolent Association President John Evans. "It doesn't specify clear the square of men, 50 and under or 15 to 40. They were simply doing their job. I don't know how much contact was made. He did slip in my estimation. He fell backwards."
To note, they are still employed. That's an important distinction. They just resigned from this.
