Caught up in the manga?

If so...
I think his new flick attack and his battle with Gentle were pretty good

I was indeed happy that the air blasts are finally back, but it's not exactly new, much less surprising.. And like many of Deku's moves, it's ultimately just weaker versions of what All Might could do when he was active.

As for the Gentle fight, I agree, some really good choreography in there, Gentle's quirk is really fun to write a battle around.

Can Momo kill herself from radioactive materials she creates? What if she synthesized it inside but don't take it out? Is it already radioactive inside?

Can Momo make anything bigger than her or is it anything smaller than her? If the latter, so she's more or less a walking 3D printer?

It's limited by the surface area of her body. that's why the insulation sheet in season one had to burst out of her back

Watching the dub so i'm late, but the fanservice in episode 13 was really dumb

You can't even blame it on Mineta—the camera is Mineta

Just think Jintor...one day, the sports filler episode of MHA could go down as one of the greastest filler episodes in anime, right up there with Goku and Piccolo driving cars.

I had a thought earlier guys. How cool would it be if you could click on someone's user name and there was a Present Mic option?

You click on it and Present Mic's voice starts booming, listing their username and quirk, which I guess would be a personality type thing based off their post history using some complex but probably arbitrary system.

I think of weird things sometimes

i'm actually surprised there hasn't been a legit superpowered soccer/the like anime yet (though probably cos the normal sports anime dive into this with surprising regularity)

closest i could think of was actually shaolin soccer

So I've been sitting on actually watching the episodes the past few weeks(though I've followed some loose spoilers.)

But I've caught up to the dub(just moving into the dorms.)

So random thoughts.

All Fir Ones intro was great. Really sold just how freaking menacing he was.

The AFO vs All Might fight was awesome. Kinda wish they brought back You Say Run but I get why they didn't.

AFO is.....interesting. Honestly don't know how I feel about him as a villain. His relationship with Shigarkaki is kinda fascinating though. Does he have actual care for him or is it just a really elaborate plan to fuck with All Might?

All Might is just fantastic. Like he is literally just the best.

Inko Midoriya is the single greatest mom in the history of anime.

Dorm episode was a nice breather. Loved Deku freaking out over not wanting to show his room.

Mineta shut the fuck up.

Todoroki you seriously need to chill.

Jirou, Sero, and Mina have the best rooms.

Tsuyu deserves all the hugs.

Done! I don't love it. It's entertaining, though-- interesting stuff barely outweighing the annoying. Good way to spend 3 days. Don't think I'll read the manga or anything

What's the interesting and annoying stuff
The backstory about how society initially crumbled after powers divided humanity and how technology stagnated. Interested in that. I also like the pacing (mostly) and the sense of progression.

Annoying stuff is the execution norm. The usual pointless or toxic elements in Japanese popular entertainment from the last 40 years that refuse to die. Flashbacks. Screeching. Gender roles, improved in terms of agency but still strict, and clearly separated. Parody-level dramatic music playing over crying scenes. Unrealistic, over the top, grating anime reaction tropes. Japanese 14-year-olds in C and D cups. Weird, unexplained bullshit rules (are the people with dog and bird faces humans with powers or animals with powers like the principal?)

Again, not mad I watched it at all. I'll probably come back to the anime every so often-- it doesn't seem like one of those series that will never end, so there's less of a chance of subpar filler or the plot wearing out its welcome.

There's explanations for that stuff. The principal is an animal with hyper intelligence while mutants like Tsu and Tokoyami just have animalistic elements. Physical mutations that go with powers are actually a lot more common than they seem, like with Uraraka's special finger pads.

On the plus side, I've now learned the term "Westaboo" which explains a great deal about the the constant use of English phrases for no reason and the manga in general.

Oh, that is explained, actually. Those are people with quirks that turned them into animal people. Some of 'em have extra stuff going on like Tokoyami, but they're all human. The only exception is the Principal, who is apparently near-unique.
