It's like 4-6 daily cases per 10 millions people in my country.

I dined in all the time now.

I dined two times at a restaurant, a Red Robin that took reservations only with limited capacity and a much higher end restaurant at Disney that was also reservation only but had way more people so it didn't seem they were limiting capacity just not accepting walk ins.

I've ordered take out a bunch

Wife and I have gotten takeout/delivery maybe like once a week since this all started, mostly to support local restaurants. At work I've only eaten outside at fast casual places that have a few tables outside where I can order at the restaurant or through an app like 3 times.

We will not eat at any restaurants, indoor or outdoor, that have wait staff to order from until this is really under control for good.

literally haven't done any of it since march. and just weeks prior my dad & i used to either eat out or get takeout at least 4 times a week while my mum was in cancer rehab. thankfully she got released before covid spread here, but yeah, haven't been to any of my family's restaurants in months. do i miss it? every day as i haven't seen any of them since march either & i'm a huge family person. but i can fucking survive, staying healthy is so much more important to me.

I had dinner at a steak barn outside. It was great, proper social distancing. No one came close to us but I still couldn't fully enjoy my meal for being paranoid someone was coming close to me. I think covid has made me agoraphobic. Haven't dined out since and I won't again till there is an effective vaccine. I don't miss it as much as I thought I would.

Lots of no-contact delivery and I ate on a patio for the first time a few weeks ago when I was going through some serious depressing shit.

I've picked up orders and gone through drive-thrus, but dine-in? Nope, and despite my birthday being this weekend, that will not change.

Maybe late 2021. Time will tell.

I've dined inside two or three times and outside several more times in addition to carry-out and delivery. My town is shutting down streets on Friday and Saturday nights so that restaurants can set up outdoor dining with adequate distancing.

Only drive thru, curbside/inside pickup, and delivery here.

I see no need to eat at a restaurant or drink at a bar.

I haven't eaten fast food since March and I've brought my lunch to work every single day since mid March (the two are very connected). I haven't done either of those things probably ever. My wife has been a huge help in helping me meal plan lunches.

Live in Alberta, Canada and dine inside all the time. We have to support our local small businesses and it can be done safely.

Not me. I've eaten indoors a couple times, though we always try for outdoors.

Difference in my case is the region I'm in has had, at most, a handful of active cases at any one time since April. If I were in a city with higher numbers I wouldn't eat indoors.

I worked fast food for months during the pandemic, now work as a delivery driver, and have done deliveries/take-out myself so I have had like half this list lol. Must be nice to be able to actually stay home. :|

Dined out a few times when our positivity rate was at 0.6% with extensive testing. I probably would have dined in then too, but since it was summer it was nicer to be out. But now that it is on the uptick to 1.0%+ again I wouldn't dine in. I'll still dine out though. We don't have anti-maskers and general dipshits around my area and the restaurants all have QR code menus, etc. They blocked off the streets in our downtown area so they could get tables out on the streets and spread everyone out really well.

Me, the people in the other thread acting like no one should eat out are ridiculous. I'm not going to sit in my house all day everyday for six months. If my friends ask me to go a restaurant, I'm going to go and have fun with my life. That doesn't mean not to take the pandemic seriously, but there are ways to be safe while still not being locked up at home all day. My friends and I are sure to always have our masks on when the waiters/waitresses come to the table to be polite to them having to serve all these people all day. But expecting people never to go out is crazy, I don't know if some of the people here just have no social lives or something.
also, I want to add I live in a state that's been very good about testing and flattened the curve in the early part of the pandemic and has kept it that way. I would not be going out if I lived in, say, Florida.

Haven't dined at a restaurant since march.

Takeout and curbside only for me. Until there is a vaccine, it'll stay that way.

Fairly early in the lockdown I ate inside an empty Five Guys, as far away as I could possibly be from the staff. That's it. Everything else has been delivery or take-out.

me. I am vegan so its hard to eat out already, was already cooking 99% of the time. this just kind of finalized that lol. I also live in the middle of nowhere. 40 minutes away from anything but a casey's gas station.

"Me" Is not an appropriate answer to OP's question based on the rest of your post. First test of general comprehension and consideration failed in my books. I wouldn't trust you with your recollection of potential exposures.

And fuck you for the no social life quip as if we're not all sacrificing for people we love. Get your head out of your ass. What kind of issues are you overcompensating for with your inability to say no to an invite?
Lol okay friend, thanks for your wisdom

I won't come near dining in anywhere. However, I get take-out twice a week and take-out coffee at least five times a week. I see some of my friends and family on FB who just don't give a shit and take pictures from restaurants and weddings with no distancing or masks in sight. I'm dreading Christmas time with the family since we usually have a get together and I'm probably the only one who honestly doesn't think we should do it.

Takeout/drive-thru only. I really miss dining out, the combo of that and then the movies was a favourite of mine.

Been to about a dozen restaurants over the past 3 months as well as two weekend 'staycations' which involved eating at hotel restaurants. Mind you, I'm not in the US so the pandemic has been handled quite differently here and it was quite safe to go out dining when the restaurants re-opened in June.
