The enhanced version is 4K and that's it. Textures, draw distances, particle effects, anti-aliasing and other effects are at their minimum. The game doesn't even have shadows.
I've heard of people not reading OPs before, but damn a lot of people aren't even reading the title 😂
Anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering usually get a bump up on BC games on X1 as well, but yes, an actual port could make more improvements.
Capcom says they re-released it on PS3 and still no one bought it. They've now destroyed all code because gamers suck and don't deserve Godhand.
The original Strider was ported to the PS1 as a tie in with Strider 2. There's a Metroidvania on current gen platforms but other than featuring S. Hiryu it has nothing in common with the amazing original game.
The downloadable ps classic is exactly the same thing that it's in the disc, it's not a port, it's an iso of the disc.
Seconding Kid Icarus, Nier and Klonoa 2 (THE FIRST ONE HAS BEEN PORTED AND REMADE AND THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT REMAKING IT AGAIN JUST REMAKE THE BETTER ONE). Original stuff that comes to mind is Policenauts and Super Mario Sunshine, along with all of the good Paper Marios
The arcade version is available in PSP and PS2 Capcom arcade collections. 😬
I see posts for Chrono Cross and Parasite Eve, which were rereleased as PS1 classics digitally. Does that count as a port?
Because if not, definitely Xenogears and Vagrant Story. These are games that should be remade SE. An actually complete version of Xenogears and a modern version of Vagrant Story, which I imagine could be some kind of unbelievable combination of Uncharted and Souls, would be mind-blowing.

This game was literally re-released 2 weeks ago on the Genesis mini.

Panzer Dragoon Saga has been mentioned a few times already, but I want to echo it. It's amazing and unique and unreasonably difficult to obtain. Something should be done about that.

No worries mate, it's an amazing game. Now it's Saturn sequel? That genuinely never be re-released and I'd kill to finally play it.
