Read it again! It's time to revisit the historic independent series that took the entertainment world by storm 17 years ago! Follow Rick Grimes's journey again, from the very beginning, but this time in STUNNING FULL COLOR by the masterful DAVE McCAIG. This deluxe version will feature a memorable array of variant covers commemorating major character introductions and the series' most memorable twists and turns. Each issue will include a new installment of "The Cutting Room Floor," featuring ROBERT KIRKMAN's original handwritten plots along with commentary on abandoned storylines and things that may have changed along the way. This deluxe, definitive presentation of the story in full color will NOT be collected any time soon, so these single issues will be the only way to experience this.
The Walking Dead Deluxe began with issue #1 on October 7, 2020. Afterwards, the series started to follow a bi-weekly release model that began with issue #2 on November 4, 2020. In the Letter Hacks segment at the end of issue #1, Robert Kirkman stated, "there are no plans to ever collect the series in color. If you want to experience this series in full color... you're going to need to buy these single issues."

While in the city, Maggie and Negan encounter native New Yorkers, evade a marshal with a troubled past, and hunt down a notorious killer. But as the pair moves deeper into the gritty depths of the walker-infested city, it becomes apparent that the traumas of their tumultuous past may prove just as great a threat as the dangers of the present.

The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live
General informationThe Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live
- Original network: AMC
- Showrunner: Scott Gimple
- Total number of episodes: 6
- Series premiere air date: TBA 2024
What we know
- The series was announced on July 22, 2022 at the end of The Walking Dead 11C's San Diego Comic-Con panel
- The series will consist of one six-episode season that continues and wraps up the stories of Rick and Michonne
- Although originally announced to premiere in 2023, AMC announced on January 10, 2023 that the series' premiere has been pushed to 2024
- This series stars Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes) and Danai Gurira (Michonne Hawthorne), reprising their roles from the original TWD television series
- Scott Gimple, who served as showrunner for seasons 4 through 8 of TWD and is currently the chief content officer of AMC's TWD universe, is the showrunner for this series
- During the series' announcement, referencing Lincoln and Gurira, Gimple stated, "The three of us, along with a terrific team of [Walking Dead] all-stars and incredible new voices, are crafting an insane love epic worth the long, long wait."
- This series serves as a replacement for the film trilogy that AMC originally announced in November 2018, which was said to show what happened to Rick after he and Jadis were taken by the Civic Republic Military, and would have been distributed by Universal Pictures
- The city seen in the teaser for the first film was Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the location of the Civic Republic (as confirmed in The Walking Dead: World Beyond). After the film trilogy's cancellation, it is unknown if Philadelphia will still be featured in the six-episode series; however, given the helicopters seen in the series' key art, the CRM does still appear to be in the story
