Well, that makes it even more likely that these two games will support BC.
Well after hearing some things about other consoles, I guess my base PS4 isn't the loudest, but I've just used noice cancelling headphones with certain games like RDR2 or GoW which make the fans pretty wild. Works great and you definitely can have the volume at whatever level is best. It's still a bit annoying that you absolutely have to use the headphones of course.Yeah that's not an option for me. I'm not risking my hearing any more by playing a game loudly on headphones (which is what is required with the Pro).

Honestly, how much better could they get? 4K and/or better lighting perhaps?
Very likely, because almost all PS4 games will be playable on the PS5.Well, that makes it even more likely that these two games will support BC.
Tinnitus that I don't want getting any worse.
I'm going to leave it at that because talking about it triggers my anxiety quite considerably.

No matter what the situation is I think it's safe to say that no 'Sony Computer Entertainment' game from the companies Sony owns is going to be without backwards compatability.
1440p/1600p Checkboarded -> Full 4K
Higher framerates or a more consistent framerate
Much faster load times
Better antisotropic filtering
Improved lighting
Etc etc
There's a fair amount of changes that could be made with a simple enhanced backwards compatability patch. If they go the full remaster route like with TLoU on PS4 then things could be improved even more.
Sorry you had to bring it up. Maybe you should place your pro on an even opened surface if not already, it might help.
I'm not playing another new AAA on my pro, the noise ruins it.
No worries, you couldn't have known :)
I currently have it on the middle shelf of a glass TV stand like this one:
There aren't really many other places I can put it.
I will be opening it up to check for dust and the like (my house is old and I've got dogs so who knows) but I'm not sure that'll help.
I'm pretty sure they're gonna be two of the hundred or so games the PS5's gonna have as backwards compatible at launch.
This is going to sounds strange but a friend of mine has a similar TV stand and he doesn't keep the Pro on it anymore. Someone told him to move it on a wooden panel to reduce the noise, and it actually worked.
Also, put on some damn headphones if your PS4 is soooo loud you just can't enjoy a game. 🙄
Hmmm, that might be something to try. Thanks for the suggestion! :)
Already addressed that, read the thread.
Ps5 is backwards compatible. There isn't gonna be a seperate skunot buying or playing until ps5. I might buy earlier to support the devs fully if they confirm cross-buy.
