That's a fair point. It's just me thinking that if they have alt costume ready to change into echo fighter at whim so they could do that if they have some extra time.

Yeah, he even have a purple pikmin as well but I'm not saying that Alph will become echo fighter but there is a low chance it could happens if they have some free time to do one more echo fighter.
Again I feel if there was ever the possibility that they might do so, they would not show Alph at all or at least not mention him until closer to release like last time.

After Ultimate releases
After its waves of DLC
After Sakurai's robotic future self initiates operation "surpass ultimate"

We'll still have the obligatory "IT'S TIME" posts for Wonder Red when a hint of Smash news is set to reveal.
sometimes life isn't fair, like W101's supreme Bomba, bless the 101 fans still trying to unite up then, now and forever.

Dedede, K. Rool and Bowser work in a rock, paper, scissors

Bowser beats K. Rool (bad chemistry in Mario Super Sluggers)
K. Rool beats Dedede ('The Rivals' trailer)
Dedede beats Bowser (Subspace Emissary)

Playable Wonder Red actually lacks unite morphs, you'd basically just have that gimped version of him that pops up in a few story focused mission moments, because how is Smash gonna fit at least 20 other wonder dudes in there to make even a dinky fist?

Serious note: how do Wonder Red fans actually expect a hypothetical moveset for him to pan out? while he's the face of the main characters, the gimmick of the game and its combat is tied around not being just one guy, but many.
Obviously to adapt the style of the 101 to smash directly, it just wouldn't quite work and I can't imagine Wonder Red being presented as his own solo character so to speak with the Sakurai stickler for detail.
So would you expect ol' Wedgewood as the controlled character whose standard attacks focus on the fist? then other characters or unite morphs pop in via other actions like using a grab has Pink pop up with the whip? default special has Green fire off some shots, forward B a stinger from Blue? obviously up B is the Rocket with an option to return as a tombstone.
Down B is jello counter because lol Sakurai.

I see a lot of "perfect for Switch smash" but little on how to accurately reflect the game itself.

Isaac and Felix would be amazing. The spell effects totally should be in the GBA 3d graphics style.

It's a long shot and not the most talked third party but I'd cry out in happiness if Rayman would be announced. The very first Rayman was also the very first game I ever played.

My idea for how the morphs could work is that every move has potential to be charged. If you charge a move, you put more people in the morph, making a bigger, more damaging attack.

Although what you're saying is more likely.

Kind of worked out where I got to see this one live where I would've missed the original one.

Of course watch my power die or Internet cut out because of the Hurricane.

Well, Multi Morph is a thing, so, yeah.

Midgar, With Love
I'm in the Virginia area and it's apparently moving away. This is the first time I've been in a big storm in my new apartment though.

I'm in North Carolina, but the Raleigh-Durham area, so it probably won't be completely catastrophic here. We're still expected to get rather high winds and lots of rain, though. Enough to flood some areas. But I really feel for the folks on the coast. :/

Oh yeah, charging across the board is a good idea to implement something from the game.

They could add gimmicks involving a wonder number counter that could go up and down depending on various factors but then I imagine that'd just be a bit much.

Imagine Poké Floats but with all the Nintendo systems. You'd have Game & Watches, Game Boys, Super Nintendo, Wii, DS, etc.

It would be my new favorite stage.
That would make for a great Splatoon 2 Octo Expansion stage

Maybe, maybe not

I didn't expect K. Rool and Ridley on the days they were announced so perhaps I should keep my expectations low again
Honestly my hype level for Skull Kid is minimum, I will prefer to have someone like Isaac, Dixie, Dillon, Paper Mario, Wonder Red over him.

My most wanted is Travis Touchdown.

Would be more interesting with old Nintendo toys, which is something people have requested to appear in Smash in some shape or form over the years. Would also provide a variety of shapes to bounce off the cuboid complaint above.

people say this but it'd just be a bunch of rectangles

Poké Floats at least has interesting stage geometry, with various limbs and whatnot
Well at least you could stand on the gamecube's handle, maybe it spins over to the front and you use the controller ports and memory cards plugged in as platforms.

Now the other consoles, well that's a trickier set.

N64, GBC, GBA, and Wii U are not rectangles
GBC is essentially a rectangle if you have the screen facing the stage, which is what it would be to make it recognizable

N64 and GBA aren't rectangles but are still like 80% flat

Wii U is basically rectangular but I guess the edges wouldn't be grabbable?

If Skull Kid isn't revealed tomorrow, what will become of the chair believers?
