Any notes on if there's a difference between the PC gamepass and Steam versions? I've got gamepass preloaded and a steam key from Fig. Not sure which one to play
How did you switch between the two? I'm only seeing motion blur and brightness in the display settings.

An XBL account is optional in the Steam version, and you have easier access to the game data should you need to install a mod or a tweak a config file.
This game looks so good on Series X in native 4K, it's stunning.
And thanks to the stunning motion blur solution, 60fps feel so smooth, the 120fps option barely feels different, I'll definitely stick with the 60 4K mode.

It could have a slight raised black problem in HDR, but I haven't compared with SDR yet and if there's a difference.

Same thing I think when MLB The Show fires up on my XSX with that PS Studios logo lol Crazy times.
Only about 20 minutes in but wowowow it feels so much better to play than the original, especially the combat. Looks really nice too. And love the recap at the beginning.
Also, thanks for making the OT GrrImAFridge ! This is one of my all time favorite games and I am a backer on Fig.

In general I've found most (many?) PC gamepass titles to not support anything except Xbox controllers. This version of DS4windows helps me get around that: https://github.com/Ryochan7/DS4Windows
Yeah I'm 120fps with 43% gpu utilization but every time I hit something there's a stutter. I don't know why I play PC gamepass games on launch there's always problems
Holy shit I'm quite impressed it looks amazing at 4K 60. Pretty stoked to see where things go and how I'll end up liking considering I've never played the other two games.

That's probably shader compilation stutters not uncommon for UE4 titles, i have not checked but i hope this game is not DX12 only again like the Ascent on GP was since it's usually worse in DX12 then in DX11.
(Steam version) Whenever I log into the Xbox Sign in the game freezes with a white screen. Then I return to Settings and it says I'm signed in. Weird.
Game looks great. As someone who never played the original until a few months ago and struggled a bit with how dated it felt control-wise, the jump forward with this game put a smile on my face right away.
I am like 70% positive I tried the first game on the 360 and it just did not click, I vaguely remember not being into the humor at all, but the trailer for this new one looks amazing and I am a much different person now than I was 16 years ago so I shall give it a go. Thank you GamePass.
Nah, plenty of straight up Microsoft Studios games on the Windows Store natively support the DS4 (Forzas/Gears/Flight Sim, games that already natively support the DS4), it's not super rare these days.
Man, it really looks incredible, I can just repeat myself. I've seen people looking at pictures or trailers and saying this looks years old, but playing it in 4K on an HDR TV with these textures and that incredibly advanced lighting in 60fps with all these beautiful animations. All together gives, me at least, a really nice current gen feeling, the whole mouth/tooth areas look insane.

Man, I can't believe this is downloading. Psychonauts is one of my favorite games, and I was in high school when it came out. I don't know if it's actually a record or anything, Shenmue probably beats it, but this is by FAR the longest I've waited for a game I really care about. Feels kind of unreal.
I'm pretty sure that this isn't using the typical UWP system. I'm not sure now but i think that the game window isn't the same as all the others games neither.
Only started the game as far as the recap on GP, but it's so brilliantly done: the way it's framed as a storytelling device (I won't spoil!), whilst also being well told, extremely charming and informative.
It did solidify for me, though: if you're a newcomer and you like P2, go check out P1 when you're done, as the recap obviously can't show and summarize the unique creativity of each of the levels from the original game. (No nostalgia here, played the game for the first time this year. No hyperbole, one of imaginative and surprising games I've ever played.)
Will get my backer code when I can, can't wait to play P2!

Just played the first mission and holy fuck this game is phenomenal so far. After just having finished the first game (for the first time ever) yesterday, this is everything a fan would want in a sequel...16 years later lol. Controls feel smooth, just about every issue I had with character control in the first one is non-existent in 2.
And to top it all off Unreal Engine looks better than ever. So happy with this so far!!!

It seems to have some of the same problems as the first one but everything is a clear improvement
Like for real. I just ended my 45min session, and the platforming on this has been great.
