Federalism, ho!I don't get it with Germany. Merkel said today that playgrounds will be closed but now the "stellvetretender" minister of NRW says that playgrounds will stay open in his state.
(of course he's an FDP guy)

Lose as in actual human lives. Older population, hardcore christian freaks and "nobody tells me what to do" dements with guns are going to be getting the virus left and right. It's what they've been doing these last two weeks and they'll just find ways to ignore or sidestep all recommendations.
This. he just finally hit reality. After the mountain of denial.Admitting to reality is not doing some good, it's the absolute bare minimum.
I can't believe this dr. just said HIV was solved because of the community coming together to prevent further spread.... like the federal government completely ignored the HIV pandemic and millions fucking died!!!
France going all out. 300 billions euros to cover all loses. People may not pay flat rend and bills during this time
It's kind of surreal how honest trump is right now. 2020 is something else.Trump actually sounds like a human being today. He is also admitting that this is real and it isn't going away soon. A complete opposite from what some of his supporters keep posting online.
He might be off his uppers.Imagine this version of Trump for the last four years. This is night & day.
Give it until the end of the day before he walks any or all of his newfound enlightenment back on Twitter. Don't fall for it.
It would have been niceImagine this version of Trump for the last four years. This is night & day.
Downplaying it at the most critical period is absolute nothing compared to seeing the realityWhat Trump just did was incredibly important, as so many people on his side still weren't taking it seriously in part due to him and Fox downplaying the severity.
Hopefully this just shifted a lot of republicans to take this far more seriously, and start take distancing measures, than they have.
For maybe the first time in his entire presidency, I'm actually glad he spoke.
He's still a horrendous human being, but he legitimately did some good right now.

Some of those old folks are definitely gonna give up the ghost.

Oh I see. Damn, this is morbid. If a significant amount of people elderly to the point that it puts a dent in his voter base, that would make the fatality rate very high

In short, "this is real, it's bad, we can't stop it, it's probably going to get worse, and it's NOT going away any time soon. Take it seriously."
Yall really acting like he isn't going to walk away in 5 minutes and get right back to shit talking on Twitter and completely doing a 180 from any statement made here.Imagine this version of Trump for the last four years. This is night & day.
I already (tried to) told my kids, almost 5 and 8 1/2, that it gets even harder. Not visiting friends, not going to the playground.I don't get it with Germany. Merkel said today that playgrounds will be closed but now the "stellvetretender" minister of NRW says that playgrounds will stay open in his state.

I hope no one is falling for this bullshit lol.
Shit isn't getting better so they are trying a new angle. I eagerly await his tweets.

He's just said a few things that sound slightly reasonable as opposed to denying everything. It's honestly not much, but that points out how surprising it is.
A lot of people thinking the warm weather would kill this like the flu
Dutch Prime Minister had a pretty sobering speech. Pretty much confirming that a controlled approach to herd immunity is the best thing we can hope for. As closing down entire counties for months on end is pretty futile as it severely damages the economy and it's no guarantee that the virus will be back the second we go back to normal.
Pretty much everyone will get it eventually and slowing down the rate of the spread to make sure health care isn't overwhelmed is the name of the game.
A rather bleak but most realistic view of the coming period.
Right and the warmer weather is in July and August. That's summer.A lot of people thinking the warm weather would kill this like the flu
RIGHT!!! He didnt get tested. LMAO. omg.
No, like literally lose voters. Not politically
he never took that shitSeriously. He made it sound like a rectal exam.
He didn't take it.
He did that how many times now so I dont know what you are talking about.Yall really acting like he isn't going to walk away in 5 minutes and get right back to shit talking on Twitter and completely doing a 180 from any statement made here.
He's gone from being a non-president to being... a shitty president. I guess it's something.
