Yeah, he really puts everything into the series and Ultimate is a crowning achievement. Obviously I don't know Sakurai, but if I was in his position I'd be really struggling with the fact that I'd just completed my magnum opus and it turns out the community around it has fostered such extensive and vile abuse.
I've read that they had a falling out a few years back, but as far as I know no one really knows any details or if that's even true. Maybe it's just me, but in his newest video he seemed kinda down again, like he did years ago when he wasn't in a very good place.

This goes back to the whole idea that this issue is largely a product of it's own environment. In what world is it okay for underage boys and girls, sometimes as young as 13-14, to be travelling across country, staying at hotels and going to house parties with grown ass strangers without any supervision?

Yeah, this is really important to see. The only thing he actually responded to was regarding the Keitaro story by saying he didn't know the girl was at his house, but we see that he has rules to not do that AND a really fucked up image showing what happens if you broke that rule.

Yeah that was a bit of a turn although obvious in hindsight. I had an image of a completely dazed dude who paid no attention to anything and it was a pretty bad image as far as a landlord went.
Then I saw some of these rules and was for a moment thinking "Oh, as far as discipline goes it looks like he actually had some- Wait a second he knew everything that was going on because he was a control freak there's no way he was ignorant to the crimes here. Also he's psychotic."
Honestly sounds like everyone was in an emotionally abusive relationship with him. This dude was beyond controlling. No way was he not privy to ever illegal thing happening in that house.
