The issue is more that I can't talk to him about anything without it coming back to politics. Believe me, I've tried to get through to him, it's no use.

Just took him to pickup his jeep from the repair shop, hit my wiper fluid to clear the frost off the window and that turned into a political rant against California and some law they have about pre-mixed negative degree wiper fluid.

The man has internalized this shit so much that I honestly hate talking to him because I can't have a conversation with him about anything without it turning into a political rant. It's turned him into a huge asshole.
Oh man, I'm sorry to have dug deeper on this. Thanks for having the courtesy to respond any way. He sounds absolutely gone. It sounds like he needs to completely lose media access for an insanely long time.

Collins doing his best comfy southern gentleman voice now to sell himself as the sane one in all this, after using every prior speaking opportunity to yell and shout like a fucking baboon.

UK news is so infuriating. Broadcast news is required to be impartial, so that means that they have a legal responsibility to go "but on the other hand, the GoP say this" rather than calling it out as the obvious bullshit that it is.

We need that here honestly. Cable News is exempt and I find partisan hyperbole on Fox just as annoying as partisan hyperbole on CNN and MSNBC.

NPR and PBS are the only news outlets even attempting to be impartial...I gave up on network news after Peter Jennings, Tom Brokaw, and Dan Rather left or retired...they at least tried to be objective.

The line the Republicans seem to be repeating is "the Dems are delegitimizing the voice of the people who voted for this president. They're taking your democracy away"

Note, I'm not seeing them actually defend the "totally innocent" president. They're attacking the process and making the Dems look like the true enemy of democracy.

They're also harping on the "no evidence" angle, while ignoring all the evidence.
