"it's just video games bro"
Uhhh more like it's a lot of people's main hobby so of course they're gonna be passionate and emotional about them. Sorry!
Call me impatient and entitled but I'm certainly agitated at having to wait six years for the next mainline Halo game. In that timeframe they shipped both Halo 4 and 5. And I'm not faithful that this super long development means it's gonna be a great and big and mindblowing game. It just screams of a messy development hell to me.
Just in time to have a Fall multiplayer FPS showdown of Battlefield 6 vs CoD MW2 vs Halo Infinite
People think these screenshots look bad? They look waaaaay better than what we saw in July. I am actually pretty excited for what this game is going to become now, I did not have high expectations.
Sucks to have to wait till fall 2021
Halo mp is f2pAll the other free 2 play games. It's going to be hard for Halo to gain that market share again.
Here are my guesses for Microsoft's 2021 lineup:
they're putting out some very exciting PS5 games
You've really 'never understood' getting upset at delays? It's that hard to understand? There are tons of new games and thousands of already released games you can play though. I've never understood why people get upset about delays when there is such a massive amount of content available.
Flighting is coming later this year they said :)I'm fine with all of this, just give us a long MP Beta/Flight.
It would have been nice to have a fully polished game at launch in 2020, but this will now come out around the 20th anniversary and consoles should be widely available next Holiday season.
Later next year
I suggest reading the Waypoint link or at least the info in the OP, as it goes in great detail on the updates they're making to the game. This was supposed to be a launch title. I wonder what they're using the 1+ year to change/improve.
It's not a total overhaul, or at least that's not the vibe I got from the post. They are just taking the time to better optimize and better utilize the next generation systems for a much higher image quality and presentation. And 343 has actually been pretty transparent about not crunching their employees, so I would expect that to continue being the reality. Besides, the one year delay isn't really that absurd when considering that Covid definitely has slowed down production and lead to the delay in part. The Witcher 3 was delayed from Q3 2014 to May 2015 in a non-Covid world and still turned out nearly universally beloved. Infinite will likely be fineA total overhaul in one year's time sends up instant red flags. I would like to hope that there's no crunch, but we all know there will be.
I expect the Craig achievement to be called "There is no need to be upset" that will be won for killing a certain number of Brutes or something. Probably wrong, but that's my guessIf... it's for the better. But it has to be spectacular upon release.
And I wonder what kind of Craig achievement there will be.
Great! I'm thirsty for a new Halo.
