No he didnt,same writer as Jigsaw,Rock collaborated on the story.
Looks pretty damn interesting honestly. Hope it focuses more on the detective angle like the original saw movies.
Jigsaw writers adapted Rock's story into a Saw movie. It was originally going to be a completely original story.
I mean its a cool poster but i dont think the marketing team that came up with it had the color contrast of the saw franchise in mind,its just your standard blue/orange poster.
I was gonna say he's crooked.
I dunno, the movies' colors get progressively warmer as the franchise goes on.

He has the same clothes in all his scenes in the trailer so probably(so does Chris Rock but i doubt he gets killed in the opening lol)
That or he's the killer and what we've seen is him becoming the latest Jigsaw.

Actually fun fact, Jackson insists in his contract that he's always listed as "and..." You're right, he is absolutely the Drew Barrymore of Spiral, but the "and..." credit has a reason.

Hoffman is definitely dead at some point in this movie, probably from the beginning. Guy in the pic is one of the writers.
I still think they should go the route of having Cary Elwes' character go against the antagonist of Jigsaw (I'm blanking on names at the moment) as a protege vs. protege standoff of who should get to continue on Jigsaw's legacy. But I'll take any Saw I can get, hook that shit straight to my veins.
He's actually Chris Rock's character, just a few years later.
