Nice, so Biden could reach 270 in 3 hours if Nevada is called.
He's gonna have an article out soon about the state of the race. Hopefully we can get PA locked in today and be done with it.
He most certainly couldNice, so Biden could reach 270 in 3 hours if Nevada is called.
We're in the middle of a pandemic. This was always going to take longer than usual due to the need to keep everyone safe.It might be but wtf. We are like a third would country at this.
There's no way the remaining states distribute in such a way that neither gets to 270, right? In the case of neither of them reaching 270, and with Trump way below Biden in what votes they do have, what would happen?
Is anyone keeping track of all the upcoming vote drop times? From memory it's:
NV 9am
GA and PA: 12pm
AZ: 7pm
NC: November 12th
(all local times - times corrected with help from others)

blame republicans for PA and elsewhere they couldve let the counts come way earlier and be done like FL is but they let this crap drag out.It might be but wtf. We are like a third would country at this.
In retrospect- Biden probably was the best candidate we could have had in order to win this- Kamala Harris as VP MIGHT have been a mistake- because they managed to pretty successfully portray her as a socialist trap. Biden might have better went with Buttigieg, truthfully, as a fellow centrist. (though no telling how some of the wack jobs have have reacted to a gay man, so there's that).

That isn't what I'm saying at all. I don't buy that we are necessaruly so centrist, the policies poll very well independent of label, it's branding, moreso than an actual aversion to progressive policy. Now granted there is an aversion to progressive SOCIAL policy in wide swaths of the electorate, but we aren't just going to stop fighting for social equality. Something like abortion or gay marraige loses you alot more voters than Universal Healtcare or Free college, but it's still right to fight for both, and you aren't going to gain alot of voters by espousing conservative economics. Florida passed a 15 dollar minimum wage after all.Yeah, the people of ERA aren't going to like hearing a lot of this, but a lot of this election is a referendum on far left progressive politics (or at least the perspective of it that Trump and Company has been successfully selling - and honestly, its always been that way and not that tough of a sell). As a whole country, we are centrist at best (and maybe even right of that).

Regardless, assuming Biden wins and doesn't seek re-election and if I were the Democratic Party braintrust, I'd do a rigorous open primary for our next candidate and not just automatically back & push her as an establishment candidate (like Hillary). And don't get me wrong, I don't dislike Kamala Harris (and she may very well win said primary). But I worry if she is pushed as the foregone conclusion in four years.
Finland here, why is this sooooo slow, like Zootopia sloths counting votes there or what
The reason she's portrayed as leftist to the max is that her voting record is technically to the left of Bernie. Which is enough proof to people paranoid about that.Is Kamala generally more left than Biden? I feel like I know less about her than I should, but every time I learn something about her it seems like she's pretty centrist (and based on the left's general reaction to her being picked, not even close to being "more left than Bernie Sanders" lmao)
Trump will never concede. He is going to fight the results for months and they're going to have to drag him out of the White House kicking as screaming come January. He will refuse to be present at the inauguration and I expect he won't do what presidents usually do and offer advice to their successor, either.
Biden will then pardon any federal charges against Trump as an olive branch in an attempt to prevent any riots, then Trump's gonna sue every single state with criminal charges against him and try to bully them into dropping those charges.
look at what trump's doing today in NV. that should say everything.Anything to calm my mind about Nevada?
Everything that's left to count are mail ballots? Those lean Dem (but Nevada sent them to all)
