A multi billion dollar business run by a 70+ year old child.

You are more likely to get released by begging to keep your job than asking to be let go.

Roddy about to get the Mustafa Ali treatment where he jobs in a handicap match then gets jumped in a post-match beatdown afterwards.

What did he expect? Main roster is thinning out and NXT is running out of experienced talent to move to main roster. Roddy can wrestle, talk and have a good look. They're not letting him go.

I believe they have teased a main roster move for him earlier this year.

So what actually happens if people break their contract? I assume there's some kind of pro-rata fine they need to pay to get out, unless they pull a Jeff Hardy-esque exit where the E are obligated to release them immediately.

I'm pretty sure they forfeit the remainder of whatever money they're owed, and opens themselves up to potential lawsuits regarding their brand and merchandising. I'm not 100% certain though.

You can't get out of a WWE contract, many have tried in the past, including Neville and Luke Harper. They have to release you.

Good thing is, you can sit at home doing nothing while collecting paychecks.
Bad thing is, you don't get to do what you want to do. Also you don't get money from royalties while you're inactive.

I always wondered how a 90's HBK would fare in todays WWE backstage climate. Comparing the 80's/90's product to today seems like completely different companies, from onscreen to the backstage culture and infrastructure. I can't imagine that Vince is as accessible today as he was in the 90's.

Hopefully Roddy can figure a way outta there and onto greener pastures. Not the best talker but I always dug his work

Not an angle. Sasha Banks and Naomi walked out of Raw because of their frustration with the booking of women's tag teams (they are the tag champions). WWE suspended them, stripped them of the titles, called them unprofessional and disappointments on air, and has removed all their merchandise from their website

To further update the situation, Naomi has removed almost all mentions of WWE.

If WWE plays this super wrong, which there's a non-zero chance they will, this could be a female equivalent to the Curtain Call.

It's a sad state in WWE that a wrestler in the back didn't commandeer a mic and say that Sasha and Naomi did the right thing and if anything's been unprofessional and a disappointment, it's the WWE.

WWE has done both wrong throughout their entire tenures - remember Sasha Banks asking for her release directly to Vince McMahon and being told no as it was related to Steve Austin? Naomi getting met resistance at every turn over wanting to change her character and having an unique entrance?

Vince McMahon IMO honestly wishes he could have his female roster do nothing but bra and panties matches and be models with little wrestling ability again. Instead, it's what we are getting and we are getting the charisma free and angry at even being there Ronda Rousey as a champion.

I find it amazing that the announcers are acting like Sasha Banks and Naomi should be grateful for a title shot match despite little or no build up.

It seems they have let everyone who didn't show up on Heatwave go, people like Trent Seven and Sid Scala are moved to Alumni section on wwe.com. They probably don't want to pay them until NXT Europe launches but there's a big risk of AEW snatching up some of them in the meantime, like Regal's son.

What happened to the guy who debuted on AEW that WWE/NXT UK snapped up? I know he changed his name, but he was epic and afaik we never saw much of him since.

Her Onlyfans-type stuff is definitely really spicy, to the point where I was wondering how she was getting away with it while still under a WWE contract. So this news doesn't surprise me.

She seems to be making absolute bank off of that though so she probably figures WWE needs her more than she needs WWE at this point. And if that's the case then good for her.

she was posting some pretty risqué stuff on some OnlyFans type platform. I do wonder what went on behind the scenes or if the release was sudden? Did they ask her to stop but the money was better than her WWE contract?

I must inspect this content in order to verify whether or not the release is justified in a court of law.

I have to wonder if she'll jump to Impact-AEW or just rest on her earnings she made because she made bank.

huh, I thought losing the title would be punishment enough but I guess she either fought really hard for it or pissed someone off about it

Pretty sure AEW has (or had as I haven't seen her in ages) Paige Van Zant who was signed having an OF page, and I know Penelope Ford has an OF too.

It's not just the fact she had an OF page. She has had an OF page for nearly a year. No major media company is keeping an employee on who posts what Mandy posted this week.

I'm assuming what Mandy had on there was closer to porn then.

Do they go as far as Mandy's apparently did, though? (honestly not asking for "research" purposes, just wondering)

I think they have nude or semi-nude pics from what I've heard. I've never been on OF so I don't know for sure.

Again: Anyone who thinks Mandy went even half as far as Paige VanZant does is not familiar with PVZ's content.

Mandy's content is very risque considering she was in WWE. But "no major media company would keep an employee posting what she posts" is ridiculous lol. She posted implied nude pictures where you can't actually see anything. She's not uploading sextapes.

The last two sentences is simply not true.
