I wouldn't get one until it has a handful of games I want that don't work on the older model. So I imagine it'll have been out a few years before I even think about it.

Interested on a Switch Pro, but not at launch. Much longer down the road, maybe.
I don't have any Switch model yet.

I will try

I play enough switch and feel like games are butting up against the tech limits enough that it'd be worth it to me, possibly. Even if the joysticks are wack, I'm in.

I'd love to but I'm certainly reaching a point where I'm not sure if I'll have the money. Not being able to sell my current Switch in advance without giving up my Animal Crossing save is pretty dumb too.

Maybe. Depends on a lot of things like actual specs, price, availability and not least a new joy-con design that isn't as ridiculously shit as the current joy-cons.

Didn't vote on poll because it has no maybe option.

Don't think so. Going to hold out for whatever Nintendo has coming next, Switch is already 4 years old I give it a year or 2 before the next console is announced.

Would need to see price and stuff first. Switch is still a bit too pricy for my liking so I doubt I'll be getting this at launch.

I need a price and how much of a bump it is before I commit to such a thing.
I don't care about the screen. it could come with no screen for all I care about as I barely play the switch undocked anymore so all that matters if how much it improves performance.

if it can get stuff like hyrule warriors age of calamity to play smoothly though, and is under $400 I will likely bite as my SO could use their own switch to play certain games.

if it can improve load times would also be huge. Normally going from the new gen consoles back to older ones isn't an issue for me, but man going from almost no load times back to load times again is... at times... painful lol.

I sold my Switch a few months ago because of the enhanced revision, so I hope I will get one at launch.

Nope. Sold my Switch to go towards my PS5/Series X as I didn't use it much and I've not missed it at all. I'll be gutted to miss out on the next Zelda game but I'm not buying a machine just for that.

Most likely, yes. I've been very happy with my Switch, but I do tend to upgrade happily to the latest version of Nintendo's portables. As long as I don't leave behind docking, I'll likely get the new one.

Depends on the price and what it actually is, but I am very much interested.

On the other hand, I already have more games than I can chew on the platforms I do have, so it won't be a smart purchase...

I won't mind playing BoTW2 with slightly more jaggies, so no. I played BoTW on that same system and it was some of the best time I ever had with a videogame despite the low-fi graphics. Resolution is overrated.

depends on the games that come later. the games i typically play on a handheld like darkest dungeon or similar don't really benefit from a pro iteration. if there's botw2 or something, sure. otherwise no. i can see if you play games like the witcher 3 or something on it, but i don't play such games on a handheld

I'd be surprised if it got any exclusives to be honest. I know the New 3DS had a few, but I expect this to be more like the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X (Or Xbox Series S and X currently) where games all run on both with just higher resolution and/or higher and more stable frame rates on the new one.

I'm interested as a lot of Switch games have bad frame rate and don't look the greatest on my 4KTV, but I'll need to see how the boost is in existing games and how many new releases are coming out that both take advantage of it and are things I care about. My Switches haven't gotten a ton of usage the past couple of years and not much that is known currently about has me excited beyond BOTW2 (and only semi excited there as I wasn't a giant fan of the first one) and Metroid Prime 4.

I need to get a better idea of how these upgrades will change things. That said, I'm getting sick of playing stuff that's blurry af due to low resolutions on Switch. If it is significant, I'll probably grab one if I can.

Hmm TBH I barely touch my Switch. My partner mostly loves playing indies on it - So we will probably get the Pro version eventually, but I'm not in a rush for it.

BotW is a great looking game. A Pro of the Switch releasing years later doesnt change that.
BotW 2 is gonna look much better as well on the OG Switch.

No "wait and see" option?

Impressive how people are willing to buy something that they know nothing about.

Yes. I mostly play on PS, and I couldn't care less about BOTW2, but playing handheld mode on Switch is actually pretty assy. Playing Megaman Z/ZX Collection in handheld mode in bed hurts so much to play, it just doesn't feel ergonomically correct nor comfortable. If the new Switch feels much better to play in handheld mode, I'm there day 1.

Also, hopefully it will make Pokemon Legends Arceus 60FPS.

I really want one at launch, especially due to pre-orders becoming even more "necessary" to snag new consoles due to demand and parts shortages.

However, that would mean 3 new consoles bought in close to one year's time, since I already got a PS5 and a Xbox Series X through Xbox All Access. That, coupled with potential major life changes over the next year for my wife and I, means that getting a Switch Pro at launch wouldn't be all that financially responsible.

Plus my wife has her own Switch, so we would either need to be OK with one of us having the better console, or both of us getting a Switch Pro.

I haven't used my switch in over a year really, so I doubt it. No doubt Zelda will tempt me but it won't be worth it for one game.

If it's a Switch Pro rather than a big enough jump to make it a Switch 2 (for argument's sake) then no.

It would indicate a revolutionary jump is in the pipeline and I also don't expect Ninty to offer the same BC enhancements from upgraded hardware that MS do, for example.

For all the initial handheld upgrades to hardware Nintendo does, they have a great track record and I am always happy with the upgrades, so yes, easy yes.

Definitely would like an upgrade to my current switch. It's an awesome console back in 2017 and nowadays I do feel more games are starting to struggle performance wise. If the revision is exactly the same as the current switch but smaller bezels and improved CPU/GPU I will be happy with it for a few more years.

Depends. I do like my switch, but the releases have not been for me recently. I think the last Nintendo game that I enjoyed (and wasn't ported from the Wii U) was Fire Emblem Three Houses. Looking at my library since, I think the only Nintendo game I bought last year that wasn't a Wii U port was Animal Crossing.
