My guy, I wouldn't post this. This is an ableist meme.
It's not. You see, the child, who is still learning how to express himself, is doing it in a way that "normal", totally not-messed up people find amusing, at the expense of his neurodiver-
Also the quote sounds exactly like what a creepy game director would say behind closed doors. Totally not thinking about a game being pushed by Sony.
Yeah, I don't even know what movie it was from. it just popped into my head. I assumed it had something to do with demonic possession or something. So, that's my fault. I'll see if I can find something less bad. It's not. oh wait.
there's also the child abuse aspect of it but let's not rail on that poster too much lel
It's from The Babadook, one of the best horror films imo. It's about a mother dealing with grief and her relationship with her son. It's a shame people use that part of the film as a weapon against neurodivergence.Yeah, I don't even know what movie it was from. it just popped into my head. WTF-tier thread title aside, there's a seemingly extremely high chance of being real FF7 Rebirth image leak of Tifa getting an alternate costume that's about to turn her into a coomer icon.
It's bad. Like, several degrees beyond 'CBU1 telling CBU3/FFXVI devs to hold their beer because they got unfortunate ideas from the Italian Senate incident' character assassination tier bad.
There's another picture with her wearing the costume at a different angle and pose that spoils a plot development, and both together are likely real because it'd be exceedingly difficult to fake both images (that and apparently Reddit is now manually nuking the images).
Well, yes. It's just even more ridiculous when you notice Aerith standing in the background with a normal ass outfit, and then Tifa gets whatever the fuck that is.Lmao at that new title and persona 3 mod, they truyl can't help themselves
TBF, it was obvious they were going to that place and thus seeing swimsuits... in themselves they're not bad imo, petty normal stuff... now it will truly depends on camera angle and how long they will ogle on these or not
Wait. I didn't even know there was a new design. So it's happening again....the new talk of the chuds is that the new Lara design "literally looks like a man" and was designed just for trans wokies to enjoy.
Bah, those are pretty ugly swimming suits. :/
Like with all the fluffs and ruffles, they seriously look like something a kid would wear (I didn't even have to search for frills, these just came up with a generic "kids swimsuit" search lol)

This design?
1) As an AMAB enby, I *WISH* I looked like that while presenting as a man.
2) I'm sure this is coming from the, "we can always tell" crowd too.
3) If chuds don't want this, and didn't want the Tomb/Rise/Shadow design (wasn't there backlash from them back then too because Lara was more covered and had breast reduction?) then what the fuck do they want?
4) Lara going back to the tank and short shorts is kind of disappointing since I really loved the trilogy's fashion sense.

No, look at post #15953.

Corpulent is a formal word that describes someone who is very overweight. You might describe Santa Claus as a corpulent man with a ruddy complexion and a jolly grin. There are certainly many other ways to describe an overweight person: obese, portly, and stout are only a few.
Thankfully, the mod was banned.Corpulent is a formal word that describes someone who is very overweight. You might describe Santa Claus as a corpulent man with a ruddy complexion and a jolly grin. Also yeah, that's fucking gross.
I've been playing Persona 3, and, ya know, it's kind of depressing the way women are depicted in the story. Suicide Squad received a ton of hate-mail over Harley Quinn's design being, like 40% less sexual, and the female devs were horribly abused. That same week, we see people gushing over Stellar Blade, with "gaming" journalists running pieces on the director's comments around it.
It just feels hopeless. The industry isn't getting better, and in some ways, it's getting worse. Young men are being fed highly sexualized, one dimensional portrayals of women, and being convinced that it's "right and good and worth defending".
No one in a position of actual influence - I.e. the developers creating these portrayals - are standing up and saying "hey, this isn't right". When will it get better? Will it get better?
When people say "why pay for OF when porn is free" and then this dude buys a $70 game to not even get any nudity and I realize humans need help.

Good. Gaming is so fucking weird. I'm a guy and I play video games, but holy shit is it hard for me to identify with that crowd.
Fucking christ. Stellar Blade for me is a game I'll buy if the game play is good and they just drop some of the non shitty clothes off the jump. I kind of try not to "weaponize" games, but god damn the stuff here is just sad.Least horny Stellar Blade fan:

Struggling to believe that guy isn't posting ironically. It's not so much the objectification/dolling up treatment, it's how stupidly boring and basic it is. "make her look like a bud light wall ad in a liquor store"
Tribalism and identification with a group is a powerful thing. People donate to mega rich streamers, similar energy.Least horny Stellar Blade fan:

Hell, not looking at all.
Geez they are spending 50 hours a week on rule34, give the guy a break.
Wow, that's one of the most pathetic things I've ever read.Least horny Stellar Blade fan:

Hope they disinfect their controller
I just pick my battles. Like you said, if you object to everything on principle alone there isn't much left. It's sad that's the way of things, but you'd go crazy otherwise. There are also absolutely instances where it doesn't bother me much or it's way easier to look past for various reasons. Quiet sticks out like a sore thumb, but Bayonetta doesn't. Both are blatantly objectifying designs, but one fits more into the setting and has a personality based around it while the other has only the flimsiest of justifications (and that's not to say all of the justification for the other is fine, but it feels more cohesive as a result).been wanting to ask this for a long time, how often do you guys (or gals I guess) actually drop a game or not play it out right because of some sexist design or imagery? I ask because I run into that stuff so often, usually in places I wouldn't expect, and every time I roll my eyes, think "come on man..." and usually move on, at least if I'm liking the game, and it got me thinking, if one was to drop or not play games where this shit pops up...
...you wouldn't be able to play many games >_>
Which is obviously a sad state of affairs, but it is what it is. Case in point, I'm playing this top down roguelike called Devil Slayer Raksasi, picked it up on sale on Switch not knowing anything about it except it looked alright in pictures and had good reviews on steam, and all was going well since this is what the game looks like:
but then you run into the character screens and it's stuff like this
and as usual, I rolled my eyes, went "come on man..." (especially in the death screens where they use the ripped clothes anime trope) and carried on, because in the actual game, you would never know this, since it's completely top down (not even isometric). This is of course just one example, I mean, you can't play a JRPG for example (for the most part, I'm sure there's exceptions) without running into some eye rolling bullshit.
So how do y'all handle it?
