My mom caught the edited version of First Blood on TV. She enjoyed it so much, she took me to see Rambo: First Blood in the theater. I don't believe she knew what we were in for, but boy, what a ride!

I saw robocop 1 and 2 in theaters, well before I was 10 years old. The scene where they took apart Robocop in Robocop 2 with the jackhammer actually fucked me up. Funnily enough, nothing else did, not even his actual death. I thought Robocop 1 was badass. Apparently after I saw it, my mom asked me something and I said "Fuck no" or something similar and she was appalled that I learned that kind of language from Robocop, lol.

80s action movies, I was an Arnie fan at a young age, something that made my father happy. Good times.

Movies I remember watching at a young age that I wasn't supposed to:
First Blood
Had this movie on a BETA Max machine my dad gave me at the age of 7 when he upgraded to VHS.

Robocop
I watched this before the Turtles movie was out in 1990 so I would have been 8 or 9 when I initially watched Robocop?

Poltergeist III
At the age of 9 I was with my family at a weekend gettogether at a Hotel. One night this movie was on. That parking garage where Carol Anne was dragged into a puddle that lit up had me freaked out. The next evening I asked if anyone wanted to come swin in the inside pool but noone wanted to so I went alone. Could only find a light switch that turned on the lights in the pool. Completely dark room with only the pool lit up.... I nope'd the F' out of there. That scene had me freaked out for years.

Nightmare of Elm Street 1. I was 13 or 14, my neighbor/friend was turning 15 or 16. It was his birthday. I sat at the back of the room because I was so freaked the fuck out and had never seen anything like it before. Had difficulty sleeping for at least two weeks after that.

Terminator, Terminator 2, Lethal Weapon 1 - 4, Raw Deal, Vacation, and there's probably more. I grew up on action films and comedies.
