It's still early but this isn't looking like a "nothingburger" at the moment.
Like previous "nothingburgers" that ended up in subsequent escalations that have killed countless civilians, how Netenyahu decides to interpret this will determine where things go form here. And we know that Israeli life is valued far greater than Arab and non-Israeli lives, so anything that ends up a fraction as fatal as the recent Lebonese bombings will almost certainly entrench the conflict, if not create further escalation.

Hoping that civilians stay safe and it's just military infrastructure that's targeted.
Unfortunatley, as Israel likes to accuse it's enemies of, Israel has quite a significant amount of their military infrastructure imbedded within population centers and as others have said, Iran's capabilities are not super reliable.

hoping any civilian deaths are avoided.

Did the US & Israel really believe they could bomb any country without any sequence? The is entirely due to the US under Biden's blanket support for Israel crimes against humanity. Biden's given Nut&Yahoo free reign to do whatever he wants; what a garbage president and human he is.

Literally the only message from this whole mess is that a country needs nukes to protect itself from western imperialism. SO basically everything's only going to get worse before it gets better.

Just a heads up, making fun of ethnic names is against Era's rules.

The sooner this American administration decides to take control, the sooner we can get out of this mess. They've been kowtowing to the Israeli's and this is the result of an insanely emboldened Israeli government that feels total impunity.

Some of those seem like direct hits.

But these are tweets from your usual engagement farmers, who knows if there just posting random missile attacks from some conflict in the past somewhere else they've taken for views.

That is true to an extent, but there is also a reason Dick Cheney and the Neocon gang decided against escalation into Iran and it's not simply cause they were tired.

Iran going all out would mean an army with 610k troops against an army with 175k active troops currently fighting two fronts, Iran actually has somewhat of a competent naval presence. If the US gets involved it becomes a real shitshow. Especielly if Russia and China begin feeding Iran.

Right now Iran hasnt done that and the threat of Israel's (totally non-existent)nukes might continue to keep Iran sufficiently restrained, but continued Israeli escalation only pushes that in one direction

Iran is hard to invade because of its geography, but the Iranian military itself isn't particularly formidable. In an offensive war they would lose the home terrain advantage and be forced to cross through some combination of Iraq, Syria, Jordan and Lebanon just to reach Israel.

The Gulf War showed what happens when a large legacy army tries to operate without air power. Unless it was some World in Conflict style sneak attack where everything was hidden in shipping containers a good chunk of the Iranian Army would get attacked during transit.

It's all a dumb thought exercise though since an Iranian attack would be spotted a million miles away and would pull in other regional players.

They need to tighten their leash on Netanyahu, that would be a start

Just a heads up, people are already posting footage from the first attack and claiming it's from this one, so be careful whose footage you share.

The IDF have told Sky News that there have been some missiles that have gotten through the Iron Dome. Most have been intercepted though so far.

Suuuuure, millions of colonizers against the genocide, sure, just close your eyes and keep believing it.

Look at these two assholes commenting on shit they don't know from half the world away. Look at the protests we have each week. Most Israelis aren't genocide supporters (or colonizers or whatever morbid bullshit you have yourself believing). Most of us were born here, and most of us want peace.

I dont buy that at all. They're known for lying and looking at some footage on twitter im seeing more than 50% of missiles hitting

we'll see if those were real clips or old footage soon enough

ABC News has said the same thing, but it's still preliminary.

I'm watching it live on Sky News with their camera aimed directly at the sky. Most are being intercepted.

All the more context to justify IDF boots in the ground there...it's like Netanyahu is getting everything he wants out of this. And with nobody to hold him to account internationally, there's no route for pause or de-escalation.
