This might actually be the dumbest thing ever posted on Era and you'll never return to the thread to reply to anyone calling you out for it.
People are side-eying their defense here, but I'm pretty sure they were scrambling for their jobs and trying to work within the parameters of whatever they could pull from their union. I'm sure they know it's as stupid as it sounds.

A California appeals court has upheld the firing of two Los Angeles police officers who were caught playing Pokémon Go instead of responding to a robbery at the Crenshaw Mall in 2017.

As disciplinary hearings go, this has got to be up there as one of the most humiliating.

Cops being held accountable for not protecting capital and rarely held accountable for harming innocent civilians is the system working like normal.

Unfortunately for these pigs Shiny Snorlax was not out in 2017 when this happened. It was first released years later, February 2021, during the Go Kanto event
