I don't care about "good news for Xbox". I don't care about the Xbox brand at all. All that matters to me is actual games, and "here's a late Xbox port of something you already played on PS/Switch/PC" means nothing to me.

At least bringing back Lost Odyssey would be exciting. Give us new stuff.
Yeah, new stuff like a remake of a 360 game

I'm setting my expectations for Xbox's Japanese output realistically. A remake of LO that tightens up its QOL issues is a lot more interesting than a port of an FF remaster I already own on iOS and PC.

A sequel to LO would be better but we all know it's never happening.

Why's it so hard to understand that some people don't game on PC?

I'm a strictly console gamer with PS5 and Switch, so any news of Starfield coming to PS5 would be interesting to me. I haven't played a Bethesda RPG in a long time, but I enjoyed what I played. It would be one of those rare late ports that I would strongly consider buying.

Nothing revealed after the Xbox showcase has been marketed with Xbox, but even putting that aside it's TGS. All fine and dandy when Xbox events can actually attract eyeballs but the Sega/Atlus stream is just going to get more traction in this case.

If they're imposing that 2 day marketing embargo they just aren't showing up period with Raidou, given their stream is the day after.

I guess we'll see. I don't think any of the prior E3 weirdness like the platform embargo would apply to a show like TGS. At least I hope it wouldn't. Since as long as that element isn't present, it makes for a good one-two punch of "oh this got announced and is coming to xbox", "oh, they're gonna have more details about the QoL changes and such at the Atlus show"

Since remember the Sega Atlus show has to cover not just their titles, but the other stuff their localizing

They're not exactly on some pressing time limit, as far as I know. This is also an issue of nobody is actually watching the Xbox show but westerners. And yeah, if embargo, zero chance, even if it only applies westwards - something as small as a raidou remaster will be murdered in the crib if it's marketed like that. Given Unicorn Overlord's reveal trailer on Nintendo mustered more views than Metaphor did on Xbox, something niche like that needs traction on the Nintendo channel or something.

Safe bet is most, if not all, of the Final Fantasy titles that have left PS+ going on GP, with announcements of Pixel Remaster and XVI ports coming in near future. Possibly the rumours earlier in the year of Blue Dragon/Lost Odyssey Remastered being a thing are true too.

Metaphor Game Pass Day 1
Metaphor is showing up on the PlayStation stage. Doubt that'd be happening if it was a Game Pass title. Besides, like someone else pointed out, preorders have been open for ages. Would be a bit late in the day to change it to be on GP Day One a couple of weeks before release.

Hoping for a complete edition of FF7R with everything on the disc and Falcom support. I'm pessimistic about them funding games from Japanese devs after the Tango debacle. Wouldn't mind a Lost Odyssey remake though.

And Arcade Archives but it's sadly pretty niche so I don't think either party cares about putting it on Xbox at this point.
Wouldn't that require like 5 discs for FF7R?

It's just going to be final Fantasy 7 and 16 releasing on Xbox and possibly being on gamepass.

If it's Final Fantasy ports, they may as well just tweet out a press release instead.

It's rough to read this perspective, as a fan of a dying brand (ie me being a fan of Xbox). But it makes sense.

Personally, so many games have missed Xbox lately that a stream full of ports would be almost like a dream come true for me. I'm really hoping things like 13 Sentinels, Great Ace Attorney, and FFVII / FFXVI get announced. Would make the stream worth it in my opinion.

Beautiful Province of Quebec.
Isnt a lot of Warren's stuff behind a paywall...maybe thats why some people dont like it.

Probably some FF news but hopefully a few surprises as well...maybe the supposed handheld might show up also.

My Bingo Card for Xbox at TGS:

- Phil Spencer announces Phil Spencer will be shut down. Phil thanks Phil for his Philling all these years and wishes him well wherever he turns up. Phil introduces new Xbox CEO Bill Fencer.

- Xbox announces Tony Hawk Pro Skater will be a playable character in the Banjo Kazooie game that's just been cancelled.

- Microsoft has now acquired Concord IP from Sony.

- Microsoft announces 14th new push into Japanese market saying they can't understand why they didn't try this sooner.

- Microsoft announces new first party games coming to Switch and Playstation. Sony and Nintendo, likewise, announce nothing is coming to Xbox.

I would like some new game announcements but I suspect this is mostly about FF games coming to Xbox and Game Pass additions (maybe Square Enix games, Infinite Wealth and some stuff like Atelier?).

Fingers crossed Tom's talking about that rumored Blue Dragon remake.

(Lost Odyssey would also be nice.)

I wonder if they Raidou Kuzunoha games are announced here too. I would pay already for them but they being in Game Pass would be nice.

I think Jez reported that Blue Dragon remaster/remake back around the summer showcase that never showed up. Possible they held it back for this.

Probably was about Fantasian. I'm glad this is a multiplatform release, after being a Apple Arcade game for many years it deserved be on everything platform.

Very slowly, yes.

Would like to see something completely new in this broadcast, even if it's multi-format, instead of ports of games that have been out for a number of years at this point (although great news for Xbox fans).

Wasn't there another/second Blue Dragon game available?

Ah. The indefinite prediction.

I'd love to see a new Phantasy Star Online introduced during another Xbox stream. Please Phil give us something better than PSO2NGS. Please tell me you met up with SEGA again and got them to make something better.
