Speaking bluntly, you don't go "oops I got invited to 8chan", get greeted immediately by people yelling "heil Hitler" at you and then play along. If you didn't know what you were getting into you would cancel the AMA and bail IMMEDIATELY.
The fact this guy was perfectly happy to engage with those monsters at all, and the fact the link was never taken down, tells you all you need to know.

why am I not surprised that hate group members like OneangryGamer and TheQuartering are supporting this godawful move and think that it's OK to share a link to a hell on earth because "it's for fun" (I'm not fucking kidding, that's the shit defense they're going with on why this whole thing was good ) just because they think it'll pwn the libs
I'm also kinda amused that in my friends' mentions they've gotten a ton of weebs who bitch about how 8 Chan is no different than this site and thus it's no big deal even though the obvious fucking difference between this place and that hell is that we don't have illegal NSFW content front and center on the frontpage. It's baffling how they stretch things to try and defend such vile content
Glad the head of MS is calling them out. I really worry for all their devs though, since they could easily get screwed due to this. (heck, even MS will be screwed since THQ publishes Ori for them) Same for devs that are small so they use THQ as a retail publisher like the Giana Sisters dev Black Forest does

I imagine that's going to be what happens no matter what.
I mean, I know Kingdom Come: Deliverance found success despite allying with gamergate crap, but that involved a long story to explain what happened there to anyone not involved with gamergate. THQ Nordic is litterally just the company that openly associated themselves with a child porn website. Just need a picture of that tweet and a one sentence quote from any number of sources about how that website they linked to sucks, and you understand the full story.
Any company thinking about announcing a new deal with them must know that screenshot is right around the corner from popping up again if they do. That sort of thing goes beyond how big gamergate or anti-gamergate is.
