The G Pro wireless is well worth the money. It's so light and feels amazing to use for FPS games or just generally. It's also very subdued styling-wise and doesn't scream "GAMER", so it can fit right in with a work/home office set-up. Depending on your polling-rate and LED settings, you can get up to ~110 hours on a full charge too.

Logitech also tend to be the best for wireless, and i can't use Logitech mice again until i know they won't have the double click problem. in a 1-2 year period i went through 10-15 mice from double click issues.

I'm under the impression that other brands have caught up, based on personal experience. Got some non-gamer Logitech mice and keyboards that cut out even on 2.4g, but a Steelseries headset that lets me roam around farther than other BT headsets ever did, and Razer's been lapping the pack on sheer response time.

I have the Logitech g901 with the Power play mat and I'll never have another combo. Best mice I've ever owned and it's wireless is flawless.

when i say best, i mean they have a ton of options in all kinds of different price brackets with all different kinds of shapes and button combos.

the big thing with wireless mice is the price difference, or some good wired options having no wireless option.

my viper mini has been lasting for a while now, knock on wood.
Good to know it's not just me that constantly fucks up their mouses. Well, not as extreme, but mine probably last 2 years on average. Bonkers to think some people used to sair their MX518 used to last 10 years or whatever. That's never happened to me.

I love the Zaunkoenig, but I wouldn't say it's a significant step up from the Superlight.

Mouse shape matters more. I just happen to love claw gripping.

You can get an OG G Pro for 72 on Amazon right now. That's an incredible deal.

I love my G Pro Superlight, but they are super expensive. It is not 120 dollars more of a mouse than the OG one is, not by a longshot, and if youre a lefty its a true ambi mouse.

Have a G Pro Superlight and love it but its definitely a luxury. You can easily get quality mice under 100 without sacrificing much - something like the G305 is on sale for 30ish bucks very regularly and is a great mouse.

I've avoided the Logitech Superlight after decades of Logitech mice because their software got to be too bloated and annoying to use (also, they were hanging on to micro-USB forever).

That applies to most peripheral software, but other recent ones I've tried at least let you save to the hardware. I assume Logitech does that now as well, but I also don't want to load software from different companies for each of my peripherals. That's how they've trapped me.

Even the superlight has micro which sucks ass. The new G502X has USB-C at least.

They also have a standalone tool now that just flashes to the hardware and does nothing else. That has been a nice change for me.

I'm not especially picky when it comes to mice, but I don't think you need to spend over 100 USD for a good mouse. I know Razer has a stigma regarding their software, but I currently use a Razer Viper Ultimate. It was originally a 150 USD mouse, but you can easily find it for 60 USD right now. I bought it because I was transitioning to wireless wherever I can, and the Viper came with a charging dock which sealed the deal for me. Even with wireless peripherals I'm not a huge fan of having to plug it in every now and then. With the dock, I don't have to worry about that. At the time I think the Viper was the only one that had something like that. I think Logitech now offers a wired mousepad that charges certain mice, but that's another rather hefty expense.

As with most gaming peripherals, no. They're cool to have and to say that you have, though.

I want a weighted mouse too, I'd love a wireless one, but I want a mouse pad that has a wireless charging spot for the mouse to charge it at the end of the day without thinking about it
That's the Logitech PowerPlay a few people have mentioned - Except it's the whole mouse pad not just a spot! It's very nice.

PowerPlay is so hard to give up. I paid a stupid amount for mine in Canada, but the QoL improvement is just so nice.

You can skip the software altogether. I believe you can store the DPI settings on the mouse itself...so just configure it then uninstall.

I will say however that I find this latest iteration of GHub to be quite good. UI is clean, and it's very stable. It was an entirely different story a year or two ago when it was constantly crashing.

edit: yep, you can use on-board memory mode to store all the settings to the mouse itself:

G901 with Powerplay mat. Wont ever go back, this thing is one of the few items I refuse to live without on my desktop. I hate cables running all over my desk.

Logitech failed me too many times with their shitty left and right buttons (every single one I've had in the last 12 years or so has developed double-clicking issues) so I moved to a Razer Basilisk Ultimate a couple of years ago and it's been fantastic for me. The only negatives are the Razer Synapse software and the fact that the way I grip the mouse led to my thumbnail wearing through a spot on the rubber grip.

Honestly, for me, their scroll wheels have been absolutely shit. I'm on my 4th Logitech G Pro Wireless in 2 years because of the scroll wheel fucking up after 3 to 4 months.

There is a Pulsar X2 Ambi coming out this year and I'm really looking to get my hands on it. Especially being a lefty.

I usually prefer function over form, so I wouldn't pay prices like that unless the mouse had a lot of fancy side buttons. At least 3 on the left, 1+ extra in the middle, and 1+ extra on the right side. Really makes a difference for just about any type of PC game.

Some of those look cool, but I've been using the Razer Deathadder for ages, don't even remember a different mouse I've owned. Once I need to upgrade this model I will 100% go for the deathadder again. The shape is just too perfect for me.

Just beware mice with cool shapes and holes and stuff: you have to clean them, and that's gonna be hell.

I've got a Logitech MX Master 3S.

It works for games 👀
It's also very comfortable and doesn't hurt my hand.
Set the horizontal wheel to zoom in and out, and you won't ever want to use another mouse.

There's a weird thing with stuff like mice and monitors where people say you need #Gaming level stuff to have a good time.

My Rat MMO7 mouse was the best I've ever used - the thumb wheel was a dream; the extendable side buttons beyond useful and unlike every other MMO mouse out there, not in a horrific flipphone layout - but alas the drivers aren't stored internally and impossible to redownload.

I don't think I'll be able to find the sort of mouse I want now…even my attempts to get a custom commission have fallen flat :/

I was in the market for one last year and looked at several of them, ended up getting another wireless Logitech g302. Gaming peripherals are pure gimmicks IMO, just get a quality regular one and save $50-100.

The only thing I would find necessary for a gaming mouse is extra mouse buttons. Sometimes it's much better for shooter games to bind certain actions to mouse buttons like push to talk.

What's making this thing $330? I'm pretty sure this is just a sensor offered as on option from a factory. Is it the Carbon Fiber? I mean once they make that mold... that's about it. After buying CF water tubes for my PC directly from a manufacturer, I realized how much people overcharge for "performance" CF.

Gotta recoup that "R&D" cost.

Well I can't really say shit. I spend a ton a money on my hobbies knowing good and well that I'm getting robbed. And the performance and quality of most of these peripherals are outstanding when compared to cheaper options.

Got the Logitech G Pro Ultralight or something like that? It's about 100 bucks I think and its been great. No dumb hexagon holes, just looks like a clean mouse thats comfortable and light as hell
Yep you can't go wrong with the Logitech G Pro wireless, no latency issues at all, solid battery life and good size.

Oddly, I have a G900 still in very good condition that's sitting on a shelf. I got the G901 with the powerplay mat for Christmas. I'd sell if for 60 bucks if anyone is interested! It's this one amazon link

Thanks for this, I had no idea they had new software out. I was pretty surprised it auto-detected my Blue Yeti mic and has full configuration settings as well!

Seems like it's really hard to make a good looking mouse that has more than 2 buttons and less than 10.

edit- can anyone help, I'm looking for a mouse with 6 side buttons

I mainly look for mice that are big and beefy enough for my big hands, there a lot of cheaper mice that are good but the amount I
payed for my Razer Basalisk was worth it.

Had a G502 before this and that mouse rules as well but I donated it to my parents. When my Razer fails I'll go for the new Lightspeed

When the hell is Logitech going to make a G600 Lightspeed? Best MMO mouse on the market, I'd pay good money for a wireless version.
