have you seen the Final Fantasy music selection
No, but that being said, I still don't see modern Square Enix revisiting Super Mario RPG when they have other IPs under their own control that are more recent and relevant. Especially with Nintendo having continued making Mario RPGs of their own for the past two decades without their involvement.eh, I don't think those two things are necessarily mutually exclusive
... Dear god it's Primrose! That would imply they kick started a project around 2015-2016 for the Switch alongside Octopath Traveler to justify a character being in Smash and still haven't announced it closer to release even though this game would be in development for about 3 years rather than urging Sakurai to use their many other more relevant characters that would be having games in this period.
At least it made sense to roll with Corrin and even then it doesn't excuse how they missed Ultimate especially if she was considered thenI like to think if Elma doesn't make it, you can then direct your lamentations towards Corrin who took that "advertising a recent game" opportunity Sakurai spoke of for WiiU DLC that would also have lined up perfectly for XBX.
What does it mean for princess ruto getting in smashIf Geno gets in to Smash I want YouTube documentaries and retrospectives that examine exactly how we got to the point where a one-off side-character from a 20 year old game became a fighter in Super Smash Bros.
That is pretty much how I feel, yeah. Geno's cool, but just feels weird to have him playable, despite his apparant popularity.
I feel like him getting in will kinda open Pandora's Box: now basically anyone can become playable as long as they're super popular enough.
Atleast she is in more games then geno
Outlets can post the footage when they choose. They played the game this week but it is up to them when they post it -- if they choose to at all.Where's the "new" Smash footage we were supposed to get this week.
both of these statements are trueThe game is not made worse because a character you didn't Stan for didn't get in.

Zelda's animations are so goooooood, god damn
How does a character go from 0 to 11 this hard
Nah, Corrin was a result of FE being at its popularity peak at the time, promoting the new game as you said, and the Sakurai FE bias. I don't think there's any real reason to not bring Elma to Ultimate, aside from the "everyone is here" and "long-awaited characters" trends that the game seems to follow.I like to think if Elma doesn't make it, you can then direct your lamentations towards Corrin who took that "advertising a recent game" opportunity Sakurai spoke of for WiiU DLC that would also have lined up perfectly for XBX.
Popularity is relative.
That aint Sora or Dragon Quest.Look guys as a huge Geno fan, no hard feelings. He was just a cool character in my very first jrpg that still is one of my favorite jrpgs to this day. It's magical and Geno was part of that magic. When he's officially announced I hope you can all respect my joy.
We're talking about Smash fans of course
What about if the creator of the game loves him and has wanted him in the last two versions? Is that popularity relatively good enough?
Whoa fake or not this is a clean model!oh wait so is that pic what people are wondering if it's a real leak or not ?
i legit thought it was something fanmade through source film maker or something when i saw it on twitter, it'd be absolutely rad if it was the real model
I honestly think that might be an Uematsu thing more than a Square thing
He also mentioned he more or less fulfilled that desire with the Mii costume in Smash 4.What about if the creator of the game loves him and has wanted him in the last two versions? Is that popularity relatively good enough?
Zelda repHow obsessive do you have to be to deride roster additions just because it wasn't the one guy you wanted? Character slots aren't a predetermined, limited resource. Characters will either get in or not based on the development team's enthusiasm, legal realities, and marketing potential, not just because a character from a game recently released has fresh mind share. Sans wasn't robbed a slot because Isabelle got in.
Where did he say he fulfilled that desire? Never saw that one come upHe also mentioned he more or less fulfilled that desire with the Mii costume in Smash 4.
And Sakurai also has a history of talking about characters he's wanted to include in past games, but didn't, and who after receiving a trophy never appeared in Smash again.
you can think certain roster additions are questionable without thinking they ruined the gameHow obsessive do you have to be to deride roster additions just because it wasn't the one guy you wanted? I'm comparing it to Zelda not paper MarioSuper Mario RPG is low sellng and obscure? Where did that idea come from? It sold 2.14 million, more than Thousand Year Door. It also did that while missing one major region and being released before the JRPG boom.

Popular so mathematically probably liked by majority of dev team
Ead 1st party so no legal trouble
Marketing potential
Look at those botw sales figures
No particular reason why Geno. I would be happy with any Mario RPG character, really.
you can think certain roster additions are questionable without thinking they ruined the game
it's not that hard
Sakurai has said that Geno is a popular request. Why do people ignore that and just keep saying he is only popular selectively?
Tressa tho
I like how Tansut shared this information to get us out of the cycle of speculating the same characters over and over and now we're back to speculating the exact same characters we've been circling for months.
