What's brilliant about this is that it proves beyond doubt that YouTube has the resources to respond to these issues but chooses not to.

Yeah this is why it's important to keep up public pressure. Because even if the progress has been shitty and slow, there has been some incremental progress in getting these companies to actually be pro active about this stuff.

Crowder's debate style boils down to "say the most outrageous thing to stun your opponent and throw them off balance. Then throw in some random stat or surface level opinion that can't be countered effectively by the other person who's still trying to process what the fuck you said a minute earlier."

He isn't really. His actual audience is like, 100K angry white kids. That's his audience. The rest is, like all of these goons, bots and manufactured metrics to boost them and make them appear to be more legitimate and prominent than they actually are. Charlie Kirk gets almost NO play among the young crowd that he's ostensibly targeting, all the metrics show that he doesn't, yet he still "pulls in views and engagement" which means that all the dark money goes to funding this stuff makes him seem more important than he is.
It's all a clever game of obfuscation to confuse the algorithms and make them appear to be more popular then they actually are.

I think that Crowder is probably the worse one out of all of the right wing reactionary youtube channels. Maybe it's because he doesn't quite have the name value of some of the other ones, so I feel that he can turn it up to 11 on the outright racist/bigot shit and get away with it. I mean, he's just as bad as E;R(the channel that PewDiePie gave a shout out to) and maybe even more outright racist than his content so I don't understand why Youtube has allowed his channel to grow to the point where he has a professional studio setup, cohosts etc
