Yeah idk, It's $40 in Canada (almost half the price of the game!) and sounds just... kinda insignificant for the price. If Bethesda ends up doing yearly expansions I'd hope they end noticeably improving the game, not just being moar.

Potential length concerns, and well, general DLC/expansion skepticism in general is why I was never down with the idea of buying this a year in advance before learning more about it

I'll continue to wait for more impressions

This is the first dlc where it is kind of a chore for me to get started lol. I did a Unity run mistakenly and so i lost all my ammo and weapons and now i need to do the artifacts again but have no gear. I just used a console command to give me credits to buy stuff at New Atlantis. Idgaf about achievements. Still need go get all the artifacts and then get andreja.

Still, its getting me accustomed to the gameplay and menus again at least.

I'm confused, why do you need to do the artifacts again. All of that carries over doesn't it?

No. Ng+ is either do a speedrun of finding six or so artifacts and re-entering the unity or doing the story missions in full.

Apparently getting all the artifacts will have Coe, Andreja, etc, appear at the Lodge if you skip the story missions. I didnt know that so i gotta repeat it again lol.

Beautiful Province of Quebec.
Oooof,I lowered one the QoL setting for the game difficuty to easy for taking less damage, from normal, and still dying at some points, especially to the guys with shields(red meter under theirhealth),I am level 47 NG+ guy...

Still enjoying it though but I never quicksaved in a game this much in a while lol...

Also some of the same glitches are still there, after dying, when you come back, all the sounds in the game are in an echo or like you are inside a tunnel or something, need to restart.

I still think the biggest misstep in Starfield is anything remotely interesting is completely isolated to the MSQ.

The Starborn and multiverse are fun ideas that have no relevance outside of it.

Like, I was eating that shit up. Entangled was one of the best quests they've ever done. I loved The Hunter, might be the first BGS villian I actually cared about. He's basically just playing a video game, morality is now a childish concept to him because of the multiverse, an asshole thats only concerned with leveling up and seeing what new things will happen.

Instead you're just kind of stuck with generic space government and vanilla space cowboys. Neon also might be the most sterile take I've ever seen on a mega corp city.

If the spoiler elements were more relevant and included in side quests and other elements, they might have had something.

Only just started but with the focus on
grav drive experiments gone wrong
, I am feeling abit hopeful that Shattered Star will be tapping into those beats in one form or another.

House V'aruun itself is kind of ehh..

I disagree. The UC faction questline is way more compelling, and I say that as someone who really enjoyed the main quest.

I wouldn't have started with a no gravity mission but at the same time, I believe people have been requesting they do more with that since theres next to no missions that utilize it in the base game so they've been trying to pepper it in more understandably.

0 Grav stuff is always fun to me, also there was a section with a bunch of floating items being pushed by the trash compactor that looked really cool.

I found an explosive shotgun, that's probably the gun of the playthrough already.

100%. Had me genuinely surprised at times, and I got sucked in. Really enjoyed it. Soured every other quest line that I did - main, and Freestar. Didn't do the Crimson Fleet and had nothing even remotely suggest that the Ryijun one was ready to start.

The UC questline felt like it should have been the main quest

I plowed through the last MSQ of base game Starfield with a hornet nest advanced Coachman. It was glorious.

I have really enjoyed what I have played so far. Looking forward to more expansions like this one going forward. I heard that's there plan.

When the healer guy asks you what day it is, is the dialogue option determined by what day it is in real life? Because my option just now was Tuesday but not sure if it's just a coincidence.

Beautiful Province of Quebec.
Hitting some usual Bethesda bugs now, there is an area that require I restart the Power to the place and you need 3 power cells to activate the Switch, found only one, searched for 20 minutes and nothing, they will probably appear after a restart lol...its a long sidequest also,I hope its not glitched for real...(finding someones Brother).

Really, really loving the DLC. Curious for what else they're working on for the game (besides more DLC, ofc)

Just started, but so far so good. I'm 31, but I'm not having an issue with the recommended lvl being 35.

I just can't get into the base game/DLC. I don't know how it's possible because theoretically it should work, but Bethesda found a way to make space/the universe so dry and boring.

Like the whole constellation story should be more entertaining, but the way it's delivered and the world itself just lacks personality. Even the companions are lifeless.

About 10 hrs now into the DLC (done a lot of exploring). It's great to be back on a handcrafted and unique looking world. Overall I'm enjoying what's in the DLC

Would like to see the more general improvements from lighting to tweaks to conversion with the new Starfield patch that accompanied Shattered Space.

Finished the main questline. This was okay. Definitely not Bethesda's best DLC, it's no Dragonborn or Far Harbor. It's around Nuka-World quality to me. Surprisingly short main questline, and awful performance on Xbox.

I beat all side missions and main story. I think I've spent more time trying to track down 10 Redeemed and 25 Vortex Horror than the main story took. They aren't spawning anywhere consistently or more than 1 at a time. Considering a new game plus to just finish off these achievements.

I'm so thankful I got a VRR TV. 40fps mode feels so much better than the 60. With the cities in the same zone as everything else, that mode never had a chance really

So I'm at the beginning of my first New Game Plus after not playing for a year. I'm level 28. Any idea when I should be tackling this expansion?

Yeah I super trust Morts reviews and he is overall a fan of the base game as well. $30, 10 hours, good expansion that has flaws. It's one of those things where I already bought the premium edition and have definitely gotten my money's worth from the base game so I'm not complaining, but objectively it's really lacking.
I like his reviews but he also completes games very quickly, he was literally the very first person to complete and review Baldur's Gate 3

Do you know if the NG+ scales for the expansion? Haven't quite found a clear answer online.

None of the game does. Systems have level ranges and that's it generally.

The only scaling is what you want the damage received and damage done modifier in the settings. Turn it up for more xp so you are t just one shoting everything and needing to actually use cover.
