I read a review that says it has framedrops but only on docked. It seems to be smooth on portable.
Shouldn't that be the opposite?

Someone in the spoiler-free discussion topic (iirc) claimed they clocked six hours by the first gym. I think if you beeline it, then yeah the campaign can be shortened significantly, but it seems clear that GF are putting a lot of emphasis in the Wild Area as a sort of buffer.
Anyway, what it seems like in the end is that the games simply did not get the development time they needed to achieve everything they set out to, and there are cutbacks and compromises all around as a result. They have still turned out fine, due to the core Pokemon formula being strong, and an inspired decision in the Wild Area, but Game Freak is working on thin ice here, and probably needs to severely rethink its approach - and the time it takes - on future games.
Pointing out that you're engaging in confirmation bias does not, in fact, mean that you can't be criticised for engaging in confirmation bias. This is a risible statement.Easier then Let's Go, Streamlined to hell and back, and the pop in is charming in its own Pokemon way. Easily a 9/10. Yeah I'll let you guys think I'm drinking the Confirmation Bias Koo-Aid but the only accurate and objective review so far is the Eurogamer one.
omg i'm making a joke about how people responded to death stranding's scoreSo you bought none of these games cause they were an 84 yet come to every thread and waste some time being dramatic? ok
You assume I don't have issues with other companies? There's so many big companies that do so much wrong and you chose to focus all of your attention on the guys who make the cartoon creatures.
This is kind of embarrassing. The games are scoring below most mainline Pokemon games, not drastically, but below. Review copies were very limited though, so it could still swing either way the more reviews come in later onThese reviews make me feel so good.
No hyperbole. No whining. No impotent rage.
See this folks? This is what real criticism is.
I haven't played and beat a Pokemon game since the original Red. I've been thinking of buying Sword and I'm guessing now is as good a time as any to jump in?
sure. you can pretty much pick any game you want.I haven't played and beat a Pokemon game since the original Red. I've been thinking of buying Sword and I'm guessing now is as good a time as any to jump in?
I mean wait until comparing or using the sites lol. The current numbers are very unreliable..
I already bought it I like Pokemon like I like Gears both preloaded. Not worried about anything. Just wanted to compare.
It will only include Jim Sterling's Final Fantasy XIII review.Someone quick make a new site called closed critic which excludes non objective reviews.
Whenever you wonder if review scores matter, remember the best pokemon game ever got a mc of 54.
Pokémon criticism isn't about political or cultural issues, but sure.Gaming side finally found their Last Jedi and it's not even out yet...
Have you ever played a sports game? The real truth is that pokemon reviews matter as much as yearly sports game reviews. The quality is probably on par too actually.
I say we take the unscored reviews and give our best guess of how they WOULD have scored it if they weren't COWARDS.Someone quick make a new site called closed critic which excludes non objective reviews.
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky
This is what I'm hoping for, there's no way the twitter bash gone unnoticed.Maybe if we are lucky, GF will pay attention to fan feedback anyway.
Skyward Sword reviewed very well (Hell, I loved it), but the feedback from that is what got Aonuma to rethink how he was approaching things, and that got us Botw.
You are referring to Explorers of Sky, right?Whenever you wonder if review scores matter, remember the best pokemon game ever got a mc of 54.
Unfortunately there's no proof that these dev cycles are going to change, this is probably the new normal and I don't see the games getting better because of it.This is how I feel. It's clear these were rushed games. Now, are they competent games? Yes. But the franchise can't keep having dev cycles like this, that much is obvious.
It's almost like in the grand scheme of things these complaints are small, pointless, and have done more harm than good when it comes to the reputation of Pokemon fans. You assume I don't have issues with other companies?
I'm simply sick of any complaints I have being brushed off and being lumped in with the harassers all the time.
GF did a lot these past few Gens I don't like, why should I have to accept that?
People act like following leaks makes them as experienced on the matter as people who played the games.Gaming side finally found their Last Jedi and it's not even out yet...
sometimes games run smoother in handheld since 720p is the max there compared to 1080 on tvmode.
How is watching a stream different from playing it?People act like following leaks makes them as experienced on the matter as people who played the games.
Just like Star Wars
the 40-plus hours I've spent with Sword and Shield have left me comfortable with calling them the best Pokemon games I have ever played – and I've played 'em all.
Don't do thisWe already saw the leveling with the streamers, and they were overleveled while skipping content. I don't get why these reviewers have to lie.
