You don't? I turn mine off whenever I'm not using it.
Why would you even want to? It's not 98 days anymore, NT kernel can handle uptimes longer than 24 hours.
I like to make my games stutter because memory is full so I can complain about poor optimisation on forums.
So having a computer running 24/7 for no apparent reason is a thing? It's not a server you are running. I rather have my computer shut down when I am not using it and save moneyWhy would you even want to? It's not 98 days anymore, NT kernel can handle uptimes longer than 24 hours.
HALF LIFE 3 CONFIRMED.
The Discord invite has been invalid for like 10 days (at least for me).
Well what are the chances of me getting a dead 2080ti if it's a prebuilt pc :x?
One of them is middle finger though.
DeejayDoom Give http://discord.pcgamingera.com a try.
Updated the OP to include the above link, as well.
Like I get the Smash hype, it's one of the only reasons I want a Switch ATM but Christ how do people fall for fake leaks every time? You even had journalist telling people don't believe it this time and all people did was get mad at them for saying that.
Smash, much like Pokemon, is just one of those things that I'll never understand.
But then again I love Farm Sim and Fallout 4, so wtf do I know, lol.
Modern computers take almost as much energy in sleep mode then they do passively when off.As an environmentalist I weep that you folk don't turn your PCs off ;_;

This is from 2006 and the stats have been getting better since.

I'm already paying an environmental tax on every parts of my computer, it gives me the right to let it run 24/7.As an environmentalist I weep that you folk don't turn your PCs off ;_;
My PC also doubles as a file server. I sometimes also need to remotely access it.I don't really get it. My computer boots in like 10s, there's no need to keep it running. I also unplug my PS4 and TV when not using it.

Ok. This I kinda can understand.My PC also doubles as a file server. I sometimes also need to remotely access it.
This. Mine takes like 10 seconds at most to boot.Thanks to SSDs computers take like 5 seconds to boot. Why the heck should I leave it running all night and when I'm sitting at work?
That's at least 16 hours a day I won't touch my PC.
I turn my computer off every night or if I'm going to be out for a while. It boots in 15 seconds, so I don't know why I wouldn't.
Ever since I started doing this (about 5 years ago), about 80% off the little hitches or glitches or stutters or oddities have completely disappeared. Windows likes being shut down.
Also, the "it's harder on your computer to turn it off and on" is complete and utter horse shit.
Yes, but it's based on what I consider ridiculous presumptions. Thinking the power is gonna stay on? Think again!Sleep/Hibernate is just as good. Actually takes less power than going through the boot process.
