I'm a little confused with this. I have a few year old Samsung which is only HDMI 2.0/4k 60fps. So should I disable YUC422 to get 4:2:0 at 10bit, as it's better than 4:2:2 at 8bit?
Nice. I also have a cx, series x, and a new laptop with a 2070s, and I also am playing skyrim on pc, but the modding to me is much too difficult to integrate, so I'm playing vanilla.Yeah. LG CX 55 owner here.
I have basically the ultimate couch PC gamer setup. Well ultimate for my personal tastes at least.
Everyone's use cases and preferences will wildly vary. I carefully choose on specific games I feel would have an optimal benefit on PC over console, Cyberpunk 2077 for it's presumed RTX features for instance. I mean I wouldn't recommend something like Skyrim on console either because of the outstanding mod support on PC, but again I also tried to push Skyrim on my old Xbox One X to the absolute limit in terms of modding support and I got very, very far with it
On that note I'm surprised because of the Microsoft / Bethesda partnership there isn't some super boosted Xbox Series X version with higher modding limits then the 5GB limitation on the Xbox One X. Might be something to look forward to honestly.
Thanks. It's nice to own an Xbox again after not getting one last gen.
I just bought the ridiculously expensive Seagate 1tb expansion for 299Storage space is absolutely going to be a huge issue going forward. I've pretty filled up my storage after installing about 49 games, this is with a 500GB external hooked up. Those upgrade updates are pretty huge size wise.
I don't have a 4k TV yet but the improvements are already noticeable. Gears 5 and MK 11 look like a big step up already. I also decided to give Fortnite a whirl, and despite me not really playing the game often it looks pretty fantastic, the colors really pop. Still need to check out Forza, Ori, and Modern Warfare 2019.
As far as the all the previous gen stuff, I played some Overwatch and Rainbow 6 Siege and I noticed much steadier performance and better image quality, faster loading as well. Same with Hitman 2, the faster loading is very noticeable in that game. Haven't tried a 360 game yet but I did give Chaos Theory a go and it looked great, probably as good as the PC version.
Coming from a One X, the Series X still feels a bit more like a mid gen refresh to me right now, but one that I'm very happy with. I haven't even played around with quick resume at all yet, and I'm going to need a new TV at some point to really take advantage of the hardware.
I've always been curious about this maybe you know...
So a "surround sound" headphone like this, how does that work with Dolby Atmos for Headphones that I use on Xbox?
Does it work better? does it conflict with it so just use 5.1 output instead?
confused thx

I'm using optical as well to a bryston dac, headphone amp, and abyss 1266tc phi headphones. I need that optical out on the cx!I'm loving the Series X but the lack of optical on both these consoles is a real pain in my ass (not that they don't have their reasons).
So far I can't use headphones at all. I used to have the optical hookup go straight into my stereo receiver (old ass stereo receiver btw) and plug in the phones there. NOW, however, I'm forced to plug the headphones directly into my Series X controller. However, my Sennheiser cans are obviously too powerful for the little controller so the sound is all blown out. Okay, so then I plug in a cheap pair of earbuds and am greeted with a high pitched buzzing in my ears no matter how hard or soft I push in the cable.
Meanwhile I ordered an optical splitter for my TV so I can split the signal between a soundbar and my old ass stereo. And lo and behold, Amazon contacted me saying that my package is super late, they're sorry, and most likely it has been lost here's a refund. LOL.
So now I've gone ahead and ordered a different splitter, this guy HERE. Hope this works out okay.
Thanks very nice of you.Not difficult at all if you use specific software to make management easy. Manually adding mods can be difficult and a nightmare in terms of conflicts, If you need any assistance in regards to setting a load order of mods, let me know and I'll help you out.
You want standard stereo being output from the headphones when using Dolby Atmos for Headphones. Not sure if those headphones have the option, but you want to turn off any surround sound processing on gaming headphones otherwise you won't get the best audio qualityI've always been curious about this maybe you know...

Yes, if the TV is HDR capable.I'm a little confused with this. I have a few year old Samsung which is only HDMI 2.0/4k 60fps. So should I disable YUC422 to get 4:2:0 at 10bit, as it's better than 4:2:2 at 8bit?

Yes they appear to be a decent set for the priceAfaik it doesn't matter. Possibly a 7.1 headset is better equipped to handle atmos or dts surround but afaik a pair of sony 7506s sound just as good if not better with these surround headphone modes. These guys just have a convenient mic so they are nice and the 7506s are neglibly better in terms of sound quality but no volume wheel or or mic built in.
apparently, halo infinite retail signage is going out, maybe it is coming out a bit sooner than it seems?
Easiest for me was emailing the pic to myself and then using Edge on the Xbox to grab it from there. Had to waifu2x the pic to get it up to size. Everyone can see it AFAIK.Small question but what's the easiest way to upload a custom avatar pic to Xbox? Just put it in a USB drive and grab it from there?
Can everyone see your custom avatar pic, or only friends?
Most TVs have a setting to adjust audio delay somewhere. Check the audio settings on your TV and see.I had my headphones on just now... (plugged into controller) and also the audio on my tv. Sounds were ever-so-slightly delayed on my TV as compared to the headphones in the controller. Anyone else experienced this and have suggestions on how to tighten up that delay?
gear:
Series X
2019 LG OLED C9
Sonos Beam connected via Optical to the TV because... when I got it and had my One X and had the TV connected to the sound bar via HDMI-ARC, there was an even LARGER lag/delay in audio.
Help? :)
I think its just the xbox servers today. My speeds during the day were at like 3-20 and now the are back to 200-400.my brother got his XSX at launch. It was all good until today : downloads speed went down for no reason ? Used to be go up to 250mbps and now can't go further than 3 mbps. We tried closing down games at the backgrounds but still no use. Pretty sure it isn't the ISP or the router because the download speed on my pc and speedtest looks fine.
Any insights ?

no issues with mine and many others in the threadBro how am I supposed to be chill about my XSX pre-order purchase when all I read is terrible complains
It's the discThing has been silent.
Turned on today and I can hear it across the room. Only thing changed it a quick start with disc in it.
Hm.
So, my Xbox Series X has been working pretty much perfectly up to now, but I am having a weird issue. I have the new Yakuza game (Like a Dragon) on disc. I played about 2-3 hours a day or two ago and was coming back to it, and every time I tried to start it, my console hard crashes, completely turns off. So I'm worried here and I decided to try out other games. Tried three Game Pass games, all work fine. So I decide to try Mortal Shell, another disc game I have. I pop it in and not only does it work, it pops to quick resume to right where I left off when I took the disc out to swap for Yakuza.
Anyone else had this issue with any physical game, Yakuza or otherwise? I don't know what to make of this. It will not like quit out of Yakuza of the quick resume, either, even though Quick Resume pops up in the corner or the screen.
I asked the same question this morning. Go to your game library and you can sort by update dateI can't tell if my Halo MCC is updated, I mean I assume so I have it so it updates automatically, but just like Ori 2, 120fps looks exactly the same as 60fps to me lol. I wish the XBOX's UI showed you recent updates in the update tab but it doesnt. What ver. is Halo MCC supposed to be on after the update?
I just played through Halo CE's The Silent Cartographer (level 3, which is where I left off on XB1) and its very sharp (4K for sure) and its smooth but yeah, I don't see much of a difference tbh. The cut-scenes are strangely choppy.
I've played a good 6 disc games so far and didn't have any problem. That's not normal.
uhh is bright memory supposed to have a mouse cursor on the screen and full on graphics settings in the menu? it's quite possibly the least effort i've seen in port ever lol
I went into the data and deleted the save data and reserve space, and it worked. Save date loaded from the cloud so nothing lost. I think it might just be a Yakuza thing? Like I said, no issue with my disc copy of Mortal Shell and everything digitally seems to be working fine. It's weird, but I think it's some kind of hitch with the Quick Resume.
You don't want 4:2:0 or 4:2:2. You want 4:4:4 but that's probably up to your tv and your HDMI cable.I'm a little confused with this. I have a few year old Samsung which is only HDMI 2.0/4k 60fps. So should I disable YUC422 to get 4:2:0 at 10bit, as it's better than 4:2:2 at 8bit?
I got a Series X and a Series S and everything has gone pretty much perfect. I've played dozens of games, I have both of them running at 4K with HDR. I've played my Series X for hours on end with no issues.Bro how am I supposed to be chill about my XSX pre-order purchase when all I read is terrible complains

Not sure what you are reading but I have both an XSX with my 4K and a XSS on a 1440p monitor and both are working perfectly. Ori and the Will of the Wisps, Gears 5, Forza 4, Sea of Thieves, Minecraft Dungeons, AC: Valhalla. All good so far. My son has a XSX and he has not mentioned any problems to me either. Anecdotal evidence but that seems to be what you are going with.Bro how am I supposed to be chill about my XSX pre-order purchase when all I read is terrible complains

I was getting speed of 500+ today. Downloaded cod and destiny insanely fast.
