He really is

Not only that the way Sanji is in LA he actually comes off as charming
"I could give you some private cooking lessons" see that's some cool flirting. I'd do that shit. Not almost dying from a nosebleed
I know its always been facts but he really is an incredible character if you ditch the anime bullshit lol
One of the best written in the crew overshadowed by fan service nonsense and pervy jokes

The "where's my hug" scene in the live action was way funnier than any nosebleed scene

I don't think it's an exaggeration to say depending on the scene he's the best or worst Straw Hat

I loved his scheming as Mr. Prince in Alabasta on my reread

I was reading Thriller Bark the other day and yeah, it's not great to establish a villain that creeps on and sexually assaults Nami and Robin and have Sanji going "God I wish that were me."

It isn't difficult to write a womanizer that's charming and funny without being creepy, but for some reason many anime and manga writers find it hilarious to have them violate another character's consent

I'm not even necessarily saying "this topic is off limits for humor," but it's not a great way to engender likability in one of your heroes in a shonen manga

Being a perv always holds characters back in manga/anime. None more so than Sanji
like you said, he's actually charming when he's just flirting and not being a perv. It's miles better

like that one! i liked his cheesy flirting with Nami at Baratie too because that's all it was. I'm really looking forward to him in the live action because of all the great shit he does. I know it's a long shot but his full backstory would be GOATed if they ever get there.

Lmao right, I'll take the ignored hug over Nami-swaaaaaaaaaaaan begging any day. I think I agree with you. I always love his solo ops like Mr Prince, dropping the bridge in Enies Lobby etc

He'd probably be my favorite if not for his bad moments. Guess best girl stays winning

I wanna see the live action do the "a real man forgives a woman's lies" Sanji/Chopper scene from Enies Lobby for the meltdown it would cause among certain fans

It'll be nice to get Brook without the panties bullshit too. I could see them replacing the running gag with "Will you marry me?" or something instead.

This situation in thriller bark and then post time skip bullshit basically killed the character for me. He was one of my favourite strawhats at the beginning, now he's on the bottom of the list.

Brook can't smoke weed. He's a skeleton.

The Straw Hats did try to use him as a giant bong tho

Also as a cyborg Franky can no longer get high

At this point as long as they get a solid child actor to carry the performance I don't care what they do. They just gotta do him as best as they can.

Might have to age her up

OPLA made an explicit plot point out of aging Kaya up to 18, can't imagine they won't do the same here.

.....So like 5+ years late to the mobile MOBA craze is awkward but Pokemon Unite was only like two years ago so here's hoping it's fine.

There's an alternate universe where Paulie joined the straw Hats instead of Franky. I wonder if anyone's ever written something like that.

Anyway I'm gonna continue my read through.
