It isn't difficult to write a womanizer that's charming and funny without being creepy, but for some reason many anime and manga writers find it hilarious to have them violate another character's consent

like that one! i liked his cheesy flirting with Nami at Baratie too because that's all it was. I'm really looking forward to him in the live action because of all the great shit he does. I know it's a long shot but his full backstory would be GOATed if they ever get there.

I actually always have fun reading people's backstories for things or character ideas. I liked to kid Skyrim in my spare time a few years ago and 90% of what I did was town building and mapping out relationships haha.

At this point as long as they get a solid child actor to carry the performance I don't care what they do. They just gotta do him as best as they can.
