square just announced *two* new PS4 console exclusives, after just announcing they are finally going to port one of their exclusives to xbox. if you don't think Sony & Square would make business decisions to keep games off xbox, youre being naive. VXIII becoming multiplat XV was because development changed and Sony wasnt about to pay Square for the money they would need to recoup. Even KH3 Square announced it in 2013 when they assumed this gen would be like the last. If KH3 was annonced even a year after 2013 it wouldve most likely been exclusive. Crash was Activisions choice, and they have never made an exclusive anything. DMC4 and DmC were on Xbox so I don't know why you think xbox paying for premiere rights would make a difference there
Marketing deals I always assume was a business deal. It's common. Paid or not, w/e. Premiere games at e3 is a thing. It involves business discussions. Anyways, I didn't see your reply or I would've replied to it. Here I'll go do that nowProof that Microsoft "paid" for DMC5 "premiere rights" (did you just make up premiere rights...lol)?
Actually, your entire post sounds like conjucture, and given how you never responded to my earlier reply to you on the first page, I'm not even sure I should bite again.
I'm a "random Sony fan" b/c I think they're moneyhatting Square? FFX, XII, VII & IX only being on PS4 + KH1.5,2.5,2.8 doesn't seem to signify that Sony & Square clearly have business dealings? If looking at the evidence in front of me makes me a Sony fan then ok lmaoSo Sony couldn't get KH3 as an exclusive but they then decided to make sure these remasters don't release on any other console/PC? That's your logic? Haha. I wouldn't doubt if a moneyhat was involved ala NieR Steam logo photoshopped out of trailer, but I'm more inclined to believe Nomura instead of a random Sony fan on the internet.
Your entire post was wrong anyways, a total of 1 Sony exclusive was announced for Xbox and Sony had nothing to do with that game so I don't know where this Sony is keeping to lose exclusives coming from.Proof that Microsoft "paid" for DMC5 "premiere rights" (did you just make up premiere rights...lol)?

Disney licensing shenanigans if I'm not mistakenWhy isn't this series on PC again? Not trying to port-beg, just curious since FF and and now DQ are on there and not on Xbox. Is there some sort of legal red tape?

Remove "paid" from it then. It was a business discussion. Just like Sony getting Capcom to premiere REmake 2 & put a PS1 in the trailer. You're hanging up on a word instead of what we're talking aboutAgain, sounds like conjecture and tinted shades. I don't believe that any company pays money to have a multiplatform game be premiered at their conference.

Don't have money for a ps3, but for a Xbox One S?
Don't make much sense.
At this point most fans are from playstation era.
I'm super surprised Nier got a port, I'm guessing that was Microsoft kicking in some money.
Why do they need a discussion to release a PS2 games compilation on all modern platforms ?
But ps3 already very very cheap and he can even get a used ps3 just to know the franchise. Its just like saying 'already waste my money get a Xbox One and don't want anythink' case. Why did you cut out the second half of the quote? He's implying they already own an Xbox One.
This makes little sense to me. Square just does not want to go through the effort to port them.

Almost all Disney games are on steam since 2 years. I'm sure KH will come.
b/c like *everyone* else is saying, it's weird that he would say it needs to be a discussion, when they are the deciding factor of it happening. but by all means call me a fanboy b/c i questioned whether sony moneyhatted something. that surely sounds like fanboy rhetoricYou're not even making sense anymore. The fact is that Nomura stated what he did. As I said to you before, why would a listen to a well-known Sony fan over Nomura himself?

I never refuted that it wasn't stupid by square. I gave a reason why they wouldn't be doing it and said agreed that it was weird he would say it needs to be a conferversation. You didn't have to say the word fanboy. It was what you clearly meant. It's easy to read context. And now I'm having a mental breakdown. You have an interesting way of reading things.Everyone else? The majority of people are clamoring how stupid this is on SEs part. Also, I never said the word fanboy yet you seem to be having a mental breakdown. I wonder why?
They did? As far as we know Capcom was targeting the west for this title, that's why they needed it on everything, MH also have MP which Xbox people like, furthermore we don't know how much it sold on Xbox. That's why Monster Hunter World made it to Xbox, the Xbox team was talking to Capcom and not just hoping the game would come.
I think it's odd not even the KH 3 prologue chapter with Aqua came to Xbox One. Liek that chapter alone catches you up to everything more or less with the in-game journals.
I'm guessing KH3 will end up having some sort of "previously on " for the new players.
But yeah, was always a bit saddened by the lack of Xbox One support from Square on some of their bigger IPs. I feel like Final Fantasy ports and KH ports would do fine on the system.
I think it's probably more of a case where Square wants to make on these products rather than break even. Sometimes I wonder if the minimum printing requirements for console games on Xbox One is a large factor of this.
Square still seems mad about the lack of sale of Type 0 on Xbox One (Which I bought). Seems the predicament we're in now would've been resolved if that had sold better. KH3 seems to just be a deal in place they aren't going to break.
FFXV I think would've happened no matter what though.

This. Well, sort of."How much are you willing to pay us to port this game that 90% of your users don't give a shit about?" is the conversation I assume he means.

I don't think anger has anything to do with it. They've released Xbox One games and they have some sort of an idea how well their stuff can/will do, so at a certain point they just have to hedge their bets.Square still seems mad about the lack of sale of Type 0 on Xbox One (Which I bought).
Best case, MS should pay and have it on Game Pass to generate interest for 3. Which is something Phil somewhat hinted as an option for niche Japanese games.
Phil Spencer talked about it on the Giantbomb stream last night. He knew Sony had the marketing rights but wanted to make sure Capcom had a reason to bring it to Xbox. It apparently did well according to him.
