lol the in-game timer for Kotor is completely broken... My save is showing me as having played 157hours now and I'm just on the third planet. I have maybe 10, 15 hours at most.

Webbed came out on Switch today and it's $20, which is double the standard price on Steam. That's beyond a Switch tax. I enjoyed the game on PC, but I wouldn't pay double for it.

In other news, Kharon's Crypt is good.

Thanks for the tip on Kharon's. Never heard of it before, but it looks cool!

Finally the half price Cruis'n Blast is live in EU. (seems like a permanent drop?)

Considering Terraria but never really played it. It's a small file size and the temptation of discovery in a huge world is always my jam

Let's hope not only the usual suspects get discounted! Rhaknar

there will be no Salt & Sanctuary discount.

I will bitch about it.

It is known.

Anyway bad timing for me this one, between Lost Ark tomorrow, and Forbidden West / Elden Ring double whammy in the next few weeks, im pretty tapped. That and my Switch backlog is pretty silly atm. Unless theres some crazy must have discount I guess.

I think Astalon: Tears of the Earth has finally clicked for me.
I was really pissed that it started you back at the start of the castle when you died but I've finally unlocked the elevator.

The Nes inspired art and audio is fantastic too!

Hmmmmmm. Both NES & SNES Online are going down for maintenance today.

The same day as the Direct.

Maybe we could be seeing some big games hitting the services?

The Valis Collection came out today. I still don't understand why Valis IV isn't included -- the full price of $40 (currently $36 on sale) would be fair for a collection of four PC Engine titles. For just three, it's a bit much.

thankfully for my wallet the sale is pretty much the same discounts we always have, most of them we just had recently too. The only outstanding one I saw in my quick browse through Deku was NFS Hot Pursuit 75% off.

Rise of the Third Power is great. I'm really enjoying it, and I'm usually not a fan of indie 16 bit style JRPGs.

I bought Death and Taxes from the current European sale and came across a reference to a well-known game designer.

2022021506503600-1057poj3s.jpg

It's a fun game that mixes simulation with visual novel-style narration & world-building. Your job is to look through people's profiles and the daily guidelines your boss gave you and use them to decide who gets to live (aim is to keep a balance to the world). There's also plenty of discussions with your co-workers and boss. I'm hooked, I've already played it through probably like 6 times and while main parts of the game remain the same, every now and then I still find some new dialog options and other small things that hadn't been available to me earlier. Now was the first time I saw this particular profile, too.

At times I wished the news headlines you get to see after your decisions were a bit more serious. But overall I think it's a very interesting indie game, especially considering it's the first proper release from these devs (Placeholder Gameworks).
