Around next week then.
So Bravely's poor 2nd week are due to stock issues right? Otherwise I'd be worried if it's selling worse than Second at retail...
Also congrats to Momotaro on hitting 2M! What was the last 3rd party game to hit that at retail? MHW?
I think Octotpath Traveler went up and games like MHW too in digital. And it depends on people´s internet and from experience almost everyone I know that has a Switch, have bought Sd cards as well.Is there any kind of evidence that lack of availability in retail drives digital copy purchases on a large scale? I'm sure this is the case for some but I know for myself it would turn me away from buying the game outright, due to file sizes.

I think he meant this:I think 3D World would be substantially behind New Super Mario Bros. DS and Wii unless you just mean for 3D Mario's.

That's an /s, right? (not that I think the conclusion should really be that Yakuza has no place on PS5, but the PS5 number it is a poor number by any standard)
Squenix as usual understocking BD games and people thinking that the game bombed.
Its a tradition at this point.
The game hasn't sold through its first shipment yet and its gotten more shipments since so I don't understand these posts. It's not fully stocked everywhere but we're not talking about a nationwide sellout here.Squenix as usual understocking BD games and people thinking that the game bombed.

Is this normal for all their switch games? Maybe the carts are expensive and they're just being overly cautious? IDK.

Who's calling it a bomb?Didn't know. Still, "bomb" is a big word and still dont know about SE expectations, specially based on their lack of advertisement.
I know I'm late to the discussion but seeing Animal Crossing below Mario Kart and Smash Bros doesn't surprise. As people have said, eventually you are going to start reaching your saturation point. Also if a bunch of people bought a Switch for Animal Crossing last year, then they are naturally going to start buying other Nintendo games. They can't buy Animal Crossing again (well I guess technically they could). But Smash and Mario Kart are natural second or third game pick ups.
I think when the Switch launched, 16GB may have been more expensive than a PS4 50GB Bluray disc. Prices have fallen over the years for memory and now even 32GB is much more viable compared to 2017.Is this normal for all their switch games? Maybe the carts are expensive and they're just being overly cautious? IDK.

First week sales. It's already at 80-100% sellthrough.
Where do you get that it didn't sell through it's first shipment yet?
There are more retailers than these that have supply problems since SE prioritizes the big ones when it comes to restocks which are also tiny at quantity. The game is facing clear stock issues. They even acknowledged it on twitter over a week ago. Pretending otherwise at this point is just trolling.
Yeah it was 60-80%, but it's 80-100% now.
I might be misremembering but i don't think there was some crazy hype or marketing for Bravely Second going on. Flying Fairy and OT had more hype because they were at the time new, amazing looking IP slatest to launch in the first 1-2 years of the systems launch....so they were part of the launch marketing and hype. You can't really recreate this kind of environment on a +4 year old system with a relatively save sequel.I will say that Nintendo didn't hype BD2 nearly as much as they did BD:FF/BS/Octopath Traveler in the west. It didn't even get a special edition.
I think word of mouth and the general strength of RPGs on the Switch will carry it far though. It's a great game.

Here we have NoA hyping up a game with a vague 2022 window, instead of promoting the new game Team Asano released just three weeks ago.
They are advertising the demo which is out now, so people can play and the developers can get feedback before the game goes gold.Yea that's weird, but maybe that's just me lol.
Like you said the game doesn't even come out until 2022.
Yup which just makes it even weirder to pretend the stock is just fineThere are more retailers than these that have supply problems since SE prioritizes the big ones when it comes to restocks which are also tiny at quantity.
I 100% understood what the equivalence was for. My question was about what I was quoting from a different poster, and as it turns out, they were 100% NOT sarcastic when they said this pisspoor number, 2k (wow!! /s) as opposed to 1k, by being double was "proof" that there was an audience. It's like one of those joke posts where someone posts that something did great because it went up by 500% when the actual numbers are 1 past week and 6 this week, but here the guy is serious...One of the rationales given for no Yakuza games on Switch by a series producer (not Nagoshi) was that the Wii U port performing so badly had proven there wasn't a market for the series on Nintendo consoles. This is just equating that logic to PS5.
This was reported back in May, but I don't know if it made its way to Era.Found this while randomly googling but Game Studio is making the Adventure of Dai console game. It also uses UE4 apparently.
04./20. – Xenoblade Chronicles 2 (Nintendo) [01.12.2017] (30% off until March 14th)
They are the original developers of most of the G-Mode games, but I don't think any of those made it abroad, so you probably know them as developers of Okami-Den.
This was reported back in May, but I don't know if it made its way to Era.

Dragon Quest of the Stars, the same one Noise Games (Custom Robo) have evidently been busy supporting for 5 years and nothing else otherwise. :(Yeah that's pretty cool. They have sone experience with working with Enix already on a mobile DQ game.
Yes that's them, originally ex-Namco. They also went by "Mobile & Game Studio" for awhile, and went by both for a bit depending on if they were making a console/arcade or phone/browser game, but now they're back to just Game Studio.
Not only BD sadly, Octopath and Trials of Mana had stock issues as well.Squenix as usual understocking BD games and people thinking that the game bombed.
Its a tradition at this point.
I agree the marketing of BD II was weird as well, but I guess with the lack of Nintendo Direct/E3 you have less chances to show the game.I will say that Nintendo didn't hype BD2 nearly as much as they did BD:FF/BS/Octopath Traveler in the west. It didn't even get a special edition.
