Kazuma Kiryu, AKA "The Dragon of Dojima"
He made his first appearance on Ryū ga Gotoku (Like a Dragon), also known as Yakuza in the West
Raised in an orphanage, he had a high-ranking member of Yakuza as his father figure. It was expected he would follow a cold and cruel path, something appropriate for the criminal world in which he was placed.
But he didn't. Let's just say he wasn't fit for this job.
Although violence is his first weapon of choice to take care of problems, every time he does it is for the greater good, he uses his fists to change people's hearts. Every time he opens his mouth it is to share wisdom.
But enough talk, let the man speak for himself:
One thing I learned since I got myself into the Yakuza "world" is that while its fandom isn't perfect, there are a lot of people who feel touched by his actions. Some even told me they try their best to live in a way that would make Kiryu proud.
"What would Kiryu do?"
Our brother Vittorio sent this message to me:
"I try to live by Kiryu's teachings, and I always take this with me to remember not to fail him"
