In the one with the funky Ash design yes. This new one looks much better. When did I ever say anything bad about this new one?

Hopefully Pichu is shown to be a jerk towards humans or is given a reason to not like them before meeting Ash.

Sure, his behaviour in the beginning was likely just lack of respect towards Ash specifically, but I would like to see Pikachu's bad side again.
