YUP. Also, it's pretty remarkable how absent the wall has been from his rhetoric. I feel like he, and even his supporters, never mention it anymore. Have they given up on it? Realized it's stupid and can never happen? But yep, like you said: just another failed promise.
An appeals court allowed him to steal $3.6BN from the military to fund the wall, and Republicans were fine with the military budget being plundered for a personal campaign promise the President failed to fund through Congress despite having all 3 chambers. This year he plans to steal another $7.2BN from the military, and again Republicans are fine with it. Obama would be impeached for that.

I can't see this being anything else other than one big waste of time. Hunter was appointed while Burisma was already being investigated for corruption, and likely knows jack shit. Biden himself will inevitably be questioned for pressuring Ukraine into firing that one prosecutor, but he'll justify it by saying that said prosecutor was actually fucking corrupt and that the EU wanted him gone as well.

Bringing in the Bidens for testimony will mostly be one big nothingburger. Fortunately, the senators can't question witnesses personally, and I can sett Roberts skipping over the soapbox fluff and just reading the actual questions, so only the defense counsel can really use the time to try and soapbox and accuse the Bidens of corruption with absolutely no basis.
Their argument is irrelevant to the articles of impeachment though because there was no there, there. Its been investigated. The EU and everyone wanted the prosecutor gone.

Theres nothing there but them trying to pretend "double standards" means that trump didn't abuse office. Hunter wasn't even POTUS, nor was he holding back aid to just announce an investigation into a political rival.

Let him testify just so we can see them go absolutely no where with any of this. If they want to try him and say its corrupt, its an ultimate self own if they're saying "see, trump did *corrupt actions* too! but he should be let go?!"
I agree with this, hence why I think it could backfire. I was just explaining what Trump's defense team will argue, since they already did make this argument.

I'm actually hoping they bring in Hunter during the debate, get all these fuckers on the record with the question of "If Joe Biden's actions were considered illegal or corrupt, why wasn't the DOJ investigating it instead of asking Ukraine?", that is the only question they need to ask of the GOP and repeat it ad nauseum.

im just adding gas to the fire. Im just "yeah, this too!"-ing your post.
Oh ok. Just had more arguments with coworker about Biden "corruption" so just making sure I'm understood. I should stop talking politics at work....

That being said, really upset I'll be missing at least an hour of the questions today.

So we need 4 Republicans to vote for witnesses.
So far it's looking very likely Romney will vote in favor of witnesses
Collins is leaning toward witnesses as well
Anyone else?

There's also a dozen senators who haven't publicly stated either way, which is what worries McConnel

I feel like he should've come Friday when they have to vote on witnesses, but let the fun begin either way.

All the WWE analogies with Parnas in the house is just making me realize that Fraud Guarantee makes for a pretty good tag-team duo name.

Why does the Mitch McConnel photo in the C-SPAN splash for their trial youtube feed look like Guldo trying to hold his breath.
