It wouldn't surprise me if Fawn-ta is an attempt to make it sound more Spanish to dissociate itself from its Nazi roots. I go with Fan-ta.
I trust the speaking voice more than singing in an accent.

When was a kid I only drink the imported Fantas or when I would visit family in Mexico. So the Mexican-Spanish pronunciation.
