That's weird. You hear it pronounced the other way too, right? Like, if that's fan-ta, pronounced like "father," then some people pronounce it, like... super midwest. Like "fan-ta," like "fanny."
I say Faun-ta. I presume this is because the first time I ever heard the word was in those Indian Fanta commercials people remixed a long time ago.
If I must seriously consider this, I'll say that the "a" sound is probably between the one in "fawn" and the one in "ant".
That's what I hear in the song that was posted, though I'd imagine in mentally autocorrecting the Spanish accent to English pronunciation different people will arrive at slightly different conclusions.

It's true, er at the end of the word becomes "ah", an r in the middle of the also becomes "ah" if it comes after a vowel.

When you sing songs, sometimes you bend vowels and such to make rhymes. I'm always going to trust a pronunciation from a spoken word more than a sung one.
I forgot the obvious "Get to the choppah"
Although, whether Austrians actually speak German is perhaps contentious.
