I've cut my pop intake to one every once in a while, and when I do it's the little 250mL cans. Drinking sparkling water like it's going outta style tho
"first they say one thing is bad for you, and then they say other things are bad for you, and then they remind you that the first thing is still bad. how can I keep up anymore?!"eh, fuck off Harvard.
they've been trying to tell us sugar will kill you for years, then the diet stuff will kill you, now the sugar will kill you again.
did they adjust for stress and other factors that contribute to cancer and heart disease, or just the fact that they drank what everyone drinks?
I remain unswayed.
edit: that said I stopped drinking sodas because they've gotten really syrupy over the decades, and mainly drink things with real sugar.
what the hell do they expect us to drink?"first they say one thing is bad for you, and then they say other things are bad for you, and then they remind you that the first thing is still bad. how can I keep up anymore?!"
I just drink tea without sugar added. Lemonade is basically candy and makes me want to brush my teeth, like gatorade.what the hell do they expect us to drink?
keep drinking sugar, just less of it. don't drink the crazy marketed sugary drinks and even moderate the fruit juices. Make your lemonades and teas with real sugar, and keep living like a human being and not an animal

Athletes don't drink that stuff. The adverts tell you they do, but they don'tSo sports drinks like Gatorade? I always thought it was weird that athletes drink that sugary garbage.
Also, I used to drink a six pack of Diet Coke everyday but stopped about 2 years ago am I gonna still die from it?

Edit and no two years of clean of soda has probably cleared you of those toxins, depending on how old you are - not that there are too many
Damn, good on you noticing and quitting.Best decision I've made in a long time was quitting soda. I honestly feel great now, and all I drink is water and coffee.
I used to drink a six pack of diet cherry Pepsi a day. I loved that stuff, but looking back, I beleive drinking it was the cause of my headaches, lethargy, and acne. I have none of those problems anymore.
It only takes like a year or two for your body to be clear of a ton of the damage cigarettes do. After like 5-10 years you're right as rain. IIRC.
I think I read no more than 30ish grams of ADDED sugar a day. With our food supply the numbers add up fucking fast.So how much sugar can we have a day for it to not be an issue? Grams wise that is.

Sigh, guess I need to drop G2 Gatorade too. Its the only thing that helps with my dry mouth when I sleep.
Just discovered its 20g for a large bottle.
Low sugar my ass.
These studies are also framed as sugary sodas killing you, but aren't fruit juices full of sugar too? Is OJ killing me?
Cigarettes, Alcohol, Fruits and Veggies...
Well it's lowER sugar compared to the regular one.Sigh, guess I need to drop G2 Gatorade too. Its the only thing that helps with my dry mouth when I sleep.

Wow
Eating and drinking healthy lets you live longer and this is why people that work out + "eat clean" have a better lifestyle.
Who would have thought
Those Harvard guys are really smart - Next up "Smoking is bad for you and everyone around you"
Many people make the mistake when buying these "low fat" products/drinks/joghurts at the store thinking they are healthy.
Usually they are pumped full with sugar too.
You thought sugary sodas were GOOD for you before this?
Well it's lowER sugar compared to the regular one.
The sugar free power aide doesn't taste so bad but if you are hooked on sugar it's going to be a big adjustment.
Random.Eat your vegetables and fruit and drink some water... Come in people, none of this is a surprise.
I have been drinking only water for close to 10 years now, but I have started to drink sports beverages during actual highly demanding activities I do one a week or so. Am I safe, ERA!? :(
Have you found the cause of your dry mouth?Well i work out with sobe vitamin water but it doesn't help with dry mouth.
Have you found the cause of your dry mouth?
Is it dry mouth? Or thirst? Because if it's just thirst sometimes that's bad news when it comes to blood sugar levels. But if it's an actual dry mouth issue I wouldn't know.
I hope you get a handle on it.
Hmmmm.I think it has to do with me being a mouth breather in my sleep.
Sugary doesn't necessarily mean straight sugar, and nearly every sugary drink uses HFCS... so no, quite the opposite.
