This is true lol
TLOU 2 will run at 60fps on PS5 and looks a lot better than this. This does not look impressive by current gen standards.
If the One X can already run RDR 2 at 4K, then Series X pulling this off is not that far fetched.
Amidst all the dunking I think this is a fair point. People want to be wowed visually but also are clamoring for 60fps. Can't always have it both ways.Gamers want 60fps console games but don't want to accept the visual cutbacks it creates. Must be annoying to be a dev.
You gotta stop believing everything you hear these platform holders say. People will be playing this game on Xbox One.The very first thing say in that reveal is Halo Infinite is built from the ground up for Series X...
It's still better than nothing doe but you're right : /I doubt the raytracing support will be anything significant. Like maybe some reflections for some stuff but I wouldn't count on it looking radically different. Unless they've straight up said something somewhere, I would assume Raytracing support was decided after development was well under way. Think Battlefield 5 raytracing support here, sorta tacked on.
During the end did the Brute state the Arbiter is aligned with the Banished now? Interesting to see how that shakes out
I'm 99% sure this was the Xbox One X version upressed.
The pop-in when closing the map I've been referring to is bad even for a current gen console:
3:13 in the video:
I feel that people are doing the same here by making blanket statements about the asset quality.
That brute's face just completely captures my feeling on this reveal.
I think the game looked incredibly clean, even on the 1080p stream I watched it on.
Am I crazy or did the announcement trailer look much nicer
Look at that sweet flowing grass and vegetation.
You do realize this is the comparison of a multiplayer map and an open-world-ish space, yes?
the grass looks like someone accidentally opened photoshop and applied the blur brush on the ground.
You have got to be kidding. This trailer doesn't even come close to destiny. What the hell?
How could this not be ready? They've had years leading up to this.
Exactly. People don't understand the cut off you have to do to get to 60 fps (especially on an open-world!).
And once again, it is proven that graphics are, in fact, everything people care about.
Clearly
Some of the art decisions are not my preference here, it gives the game a lower detailed look. A good example is how opaque the alpha effects are, and lacking detail as well.
Check out this difference between the shields on the elite. The Halo Infinite shield effect is completely opaque; it also looks like it has no small detail reads in the shield effect itself.
Here is the shield effect in Reach on the Elite. It has a varied level of opacity based upon damage type and has this tiling detail all across the shield effect. It also sticks to the outside edge of the model on full frontal views, so you can still see quite a lot. It has a lot of negative space. It just looks... more detailed.
Gears 5 and Doom Eternal look much than this, and both are 4k60 on One X. I doubt that each area in Infinite will be substantially larger than the open world levels in Gears 5.
Can someone put him though FaceApp for a nice big smile? That brute's face just completely captures my feeling on this reveal.
I mean if you ignore the literal pandemicHow could this not be ready? They've had years leading up to this.
The bottom one is literally 4x the number of pixels...
Pop in is a rendering optimization
Man, microsoft is doing their best to kill any excitement I had for the series x
No, it's trying to convince you to get Gamepass or XcloudThis is the flagship title that's supposed to convince me to get a $600CAD console? .
its like when i put overwatch into Low, so i can up the FPS lol and see the enemy more clearly.
That brute's face just completely captures my feeling on this reveal.
The entire foliage system looks like it needs work as well.Textures and lighting needs work, the brute speaking his facial texture is WIP..
Yeah the side by side comparison makes it worse though at least Infinite seems to have open levels. 4 looked great but level design was way too constrictive.
Ok I laughed audibly at this. Looks like that old "there's no need to be upset" memescreen grab from the demo
Cross posting from the other thread. Dang.
