I don't want to give too much away for those looking to avoid spoilers, but the snippers of the 20 plus hour campaign we explored offered more insight into the dynamics between Kait, Del, and JD, and the current state of the trio's relationship.

You can simply ignore all of the side quests and content if you so choose. We were told that The Coalition expects a player skipping side quests and exploration could get through the campaign in around 12 hours, while those who dabble would see 20 plus.

Man I wonder if I could play this without playing the earlier games. Those never really clicked with me, but this could be worth a try, what with the new approach and all.

That choice extends to individual combat scenarios as well. Instead of encounters being predictably triggered right away upon entering an area (something I'd been worried about), there's often an opportunity to get the drop on enemies by playing stealthily, or to set up more tactically before engaging.

it was far too advanced into production to be influenced by anything by the point God of War came out. And even then, these are common points in gaming for many years. Its not being influenced by god of war, its being influenced by games
