For me, this film is much better than part one. There's a relationship to the characters. I was trying to reach for an intensity and a quality of emotions that I didn't reach with part one and that I did reach with part two. I won't say the film is perfect, but I'm much more happy with part two than I was with part one.
Not finished yet I believe.didn't realize he already finished the script for Dune messiah, thought he was just hinting tha he'd also want to do it if given the chance. Really nice, might actually get it!
My nearest imax (Melbourne) will have screenings of both 1570 and 4K Laser… which should I see?
You mean the re-release of the first film tonight? If so, I'd probably choose 4K Laser, only because the 15/70 film print will likely be a print from the original run (I doubt they printed new reels for this re-release) and who knows what condition it's in (though to be fair IMAX prints do tend to stand up to wear better than normal commercial 35mm prints in the past, in my experience anyway).
"Would we be down? I mean of course," Zendaya said when asked about making another "Dune" movie. "Any time Denis calls it's a yes from me. I'm excited to see what happens. I started 'Messiah' and I was like, 'Woah, I'm only shooting the first movie. Let me just go back to the first one.' It's so much to take in, but there's no better hands with better care and love for it than Denis."
Nice! Wish we had a Fan First event here, but good to see you got in. Can't wait to read people's opinions on here when it's out.Got my tickets for the 25th.
I usually never pre order tickets but I can't pass up the chance to watch it a little early.
I'm watching it tonight. :)I rewatched the movie this week... the visual design is so good.
Sorry if asked but is it true that part 2 will only be shown in London IMAX in the UK?
Trying to find info on Manchester and having no luck. I really hope that's not true, I've been looking forward to it.
Feyd-Rautha has a dangerous allure that makes him the "rock star of the family" according to Villeneuve. "He's the beautiful Baron nephew. A playboy. A very sexy, charismatic, psychotic killer," the director says. "There's something erotic about it. Everybody needs to be moved by his beauty. And Austin was perfect for that."
"All of the elements are there," Villeneuve explains. "But I think the movie adaptation is more tragic than the book. The way that Part Two ends… it would create a total balance and equilibrium to finish Paul's storyline in what we could say in Part Three."
My thoughts precisely. I'm going to ring them in the week and check.I really doubt it? The first film was successful so why wouldnt it come to other IMAX around the UK
