I'm talking in general, not this specific case because the guy is doing everything wrong. In this case he's clearly guilty.
But this is not the first time something like this happens and it's not like you bring a camcorder with you to this kind of situations. What kind of proof could you even provide if something like this happenes to you?
How can an event organizer judge you based on limited proof? What is the minimum amount to be considered guilty?
I'm saying this because this kind of situations seem very difficult to deal with so I would like to know more what's the usual handling process.

I doubt they'd ban without proof. They had a runner and an attendee say awful shit on discord towards trans people and women in general and it took them like a day to actually ban them after at first saying "show us actual proof discord logs can be faked"

This isn't a court of law. As a private event, the AGDQ organizers are free to ban whoever they want for whatever reason they want. (as long as it isn't because the recipient is a protected class).
