Not sure about monthly sales but I'm pretty sure I remember the Wii selling like 1M during Black Friday week a few years ago..
Wii sold 3.81 million units in the US in December, 2009. No one's ever topping it.Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't the Wii sell over 3 million in one month?
Never say never!Wii sold 3.81 million units in December, 2009. No one's ever topping it.
That's console launch week sales holy crap and that's without a sale. The Switch lite must be making a huge difference.
The sales are best week of U.S. sales in Nintendo Switch history. Not Nintendo history - so Wii still outperformed it.
Impressive sales of Switch in that week and the software figures for Mario Kart and Smash are insane. Pokemon is doing well.
Doesn't seem as good as it could have been. How does it compare historically with other consoles?

Wasn't it 15M in October?Total sales of Nintendo Switch in the Americas have reached 17.5 million units.
DS did but that console is the second best selling console of all time. The Wii never managed to break 800k once
No idea, sorry :(Just in the US for real? That number is insane. What was WW total for the month?
This looks like the face of Mario who's about to fuck you
Ah, you beat me to it. Yeah, so as we can surmise, the Switch had a better Black Friday week than the Wii has ever had. I don't think it will beat that insane 2M November that Wii had in 2008, but it should be well above the Wii's second best November (in fact, it was above that already last year at 1365k roughly).DS did but that console is the second best selling console of all time. It's like double dash, but everyone gets four items instead of two2023: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Deluxe will launch with the Nintendo Switch 2
According to at least one insider, pre-BF November Switch sales were up significantly YoY.That is quite good. Though I'm curious to learn just how many Switches were sold in the Americas in the weeks leading up to the big one. Most consumers here know to wait it out a bit in November in order to snag great deals if possible.

Not beating the DS is nothing to be ashamed of, and beating the Wii's best BF week is hugely impressive. Puts into perspective how incredibly strong this performance is.
I'm confusedWii sold 3.81 million units in the US in December, 2009. No one's ever topping it.
Zedark is speaking of November sales records. Nintendo almost always performs stronger in December.
switch is a BEAST
congrats to nintendo, well-deserved success.
Yeah just edited my post.Zedark is speaking of November sales records. Nintendo almost always performs stronger in December.
It did beat Wii on any BF week, but November is tricky. That 2M number is very hard to beat. But Switch has Pokémon, so all bets are off. But I'm thinking more like 1.5M rather than 2M.I'm confused
Edit: nevermind, December. So it did best Wii in nov :o
you have to use all caps to convey he beastiness.
Switch could get closer to it by next year.Wii sold 3.81 million units in the US in December, 2009. No one's ever topping it.
Jesus Christ. That's crazy. I always forget how insane the Wii numbers were.Wii sold 3.81 million units in the US in December, 2009. No one's ever topping it.
Switch could get closer to it by next year.
But yeah thats a crazy record lol.
I know i was around that time - just saying that we should and wait and see how Switch performs once Nintendo drops the price and is a bit more aggressive with the pricing - which will only start next year.In what way? You have to remember that the Wii got so high in large part thanks to NSMB Wii. Which was a sell monster.
Not a chance, even with Smash launch Switch didn't even get to 2 million, now with Pokémon and Lite's first holiday it most likely will but not as far as 3 million much less almost 4 and i can't imagine something next year that'll be bigger than Pokémon or even Smash.Switch could get closer to it by next year.

It did do it in the US only.
