lol thanksForgot to check back in, but I KILL PXLS Kanye charts are suuuuuper legit.
First make sure you are consistently doing Full Combos on Hard (with S rating) and then attempt Expert.Oh man, playing the highest difficulty is insane. Really can't get my shit together. On hard, I have a really high hit rate, missing 1 - 5 blocks per song on average. But the jump to the hardest difficulty is severe.

You may also consider "no fail" mode to familiarize with bet patterns.
Not only we added an easter egg with new exclusive track. Also, we did some bug fixing and added some stuff. Additionally we did heavy refactoring of almost everything inside.
- Settings for how in-game menu can be triggered added (instantly or long press).
- Volume settings added
- Swap Colors settings added
- Static Lights gameplay options added
- No Obstacles gameplay options added
- "Cut in any direction" tutorial voiceover and text added
- Fixed simultaneous vibration of both Oculus Touch controllers (only with -vrmode oculus)
- Fixed calculation of maximum possible score
- Fixed bug where you can spawn too far from the platform
- Legendary Hardcore Flying Car!
Was not expecting it to be 6 minutes lol. I have the progress counter mod so I when I had that moment of "How long is this?" I could see there were 3 minutes left which help me reset expectations (albeit mid way through the song). That said, I was pretty meh on it until like the last 2-3 minutes where it switches up and then I was like "Ah yeah, now this is good". I doubt the rest of the new official songs will be anything like this one though. I think they just went off script since it's an easter egg.I guess I had too big expectations about the new song - I love most of the original songs, but the new one is meh to me, and it lasts 6 minutes, which is 3x the average length of previous song. While playing it for the first time I was like "just end already!".
Oh well, hopefully other songs will be better. If not, there are always custom songs from beatsaver.

I don't think they could do it with the current mods legally speaking so it kind of depends on how the official implementation works. Soundboxing uses Youtube videos for it's custom songs which I believe is fine legally but I'm not sure if it's technically possible on PS4. Soundboxing was built totally around that way of handling it's maps so I don't know if they'll go that way with Beat Saber. Maybe that's why the official map editor its taking so long though.I cant wait to get this on PS4. Its looks sooo good. Any word on custom songs for PS4. Could they not add PC modded songs as downloadable songs for PSVR?
I just bought this game and I'm glad I found this OT. I bought a Lenovo Explorer in the black friday sale last year, and it had been collecting dust until I got this game. Looking forward to get good enough to start playing some of the customs posted here.
Get some custom sabers from the discord aswell, there are some really nice ones that I prefer over the standard sabers (thin rapier estoc like sabers)
Don't think they've figured out how to tie audio to custom sabers yet.
Appreciated. Thank you!I'm not sure, but here's the latest version: https://github.com/Umbranoxio/BeatSaberModInstaller/releases

Lol. To be fair they did say a long while ago they could focus again on PC updates after the PSVR release which is out now. They said the PC updates should come within the next few days.
Would echo this. I couldn't get more than 30 seconds in to the default Expert songs at first. I just kept pushing myself on Hard, getting familiar with the flows, and testing myself against Expert every now and then until one day it clicked. Now Hard songs are too easy and I can sight read my first time through most custom songs on Expert. The cool thing is that well mapped songs really do feel super natural. You'll find yourself swinging at stuff instinctually not even worrying about the arrow on the box half the time because you "just know" which direction you should swing (again, on well mapped songs). We were all there :) Expert feels impossible until it doesn't. It's hard to explain, but yeah, repetition, and then intuiting patterns based on previous experience. There are moments of brilliance where you have no idea how you actually hit those notes, but you know you did, almost as if your brain was on autopilot.
First get to a flawless combo with a song on hard, then tackle expert. I was able to do all songs on expert eventually, even before the patch where you could slow the song and repeat selected parts.
VRCovers. The faux-leather ones. Just wipe down the surface after a sweaty session and they're ready for the next player. To clean the lenses, the economical choice is Kimwipes with a spritz of Purosol, while the convenient choice is individually-wrapped pre-moistened Zeiss lens wipes.
Surprised there aren't more normal/hard custom songs. You'd think it wouldn't be too difficult to remove some of the 'not4s' to ease up on the difficulty
Expert only are quite frustrating as you can't get used to patterns on a lower difficulty
It's surprisingly a pain in the ass. The trick to a really good map is flow. On Expert that flow is really tight. If you have a pattern that involves you swinging up down up-right high-left with your left hand, you can't just take out every other note or the flow is screwed up. You can cut the pattern in half and stretch it, but then the next pattern that relies on the previous one ending in high-left might get screwed up because it now ends on down.Surprised there aren't more normal/hard custom songs. I do personally. Nothing makes me more nervous than two blocks that force you to swing your controllers at each other lol. Other mappers aren't quite as cautious with that though. I've definitely broken the skin a couple times due to that crap and I am not a fan. Thanks for the insight. Do you personally also consider hand placement? Some of the movements make me nervous about smashing my controllers into each other - eg red and blue right next to each other pointing towards each other, or rapid hand swaps so red on the right, blue on the left.
I heard they patched in different non-lightsaber-y sabers that not only look different but are shorter?
Why?
