Ordered mine today, since it's an extremely limited one time run only, will be perfect for my collection.
Ooh! So how does this work exactly? If I use the JP physical cartridges, will the save file be compatible with a US cartridge?
Really wanted to go digital for Bayo 2, but physical seemed like a no-brainer here. Best Buy GCU is too good.

I already got them bought and preloaded. I never had a WiiU so Bayo2 is going to be a treat. I absolutely adore the first game, so I can't wait.

Not excited about the lack of effort in the graphics part of this remaster but excited to have some more mature games in the platform

Yeah, I was just thinking of buying Bayo 2 by itself after playing One X version and save the $10 that the package would cost.
PC and Xbox One X are the best versions of Bayonetta 1 it seems but the Switch port is apparently also a great upgrade from the Xbox 360 and Wii U versions FPS wise. But if you want the higher resolution the Xbox One X and PC are the way to go.
You are certainly in for a treat, expect even more high octane action, with bigger setpieces. :)
Not by much. Per Digital Foundry, it boasts significantly improved frame rates over the Wii U version and the 360 version running on original hardware or the original Xbox One. X1X holds up better in the highest stress situations than the Switch version though.
DF's analysis basically concludes that this version of Bayo is up there with the XB1X and PC versions but those are still better. The only true advantages for this version is he portability factor and the Nintendo exclusive costumes that can change combat.
It's an up-port, not a remaster.
The PAL version of the Bayo Special Edition comes with a reversible cover for Bayo1. Not sure if we knew this or not.

It definitely is fantastic that Bayonetta will not only continue to strive, but to also get to use this time to build up excitement for Bayonetta 3. That and I never did get the chance to play Bayonetta 2 either. It wasn't that I didn't have a Wii U, but by the time it came out, other games had my attention at the time. Best time if any to dive in.

Can't wait to get my Climax Edition in the mail. I probably won't play 1 right away since this is my fourth copy, but I'm eager to play 2 again.
The first game was a long time ago. I hope I can jump into the second and not be lost story-wise since I don't really want to replay the first.
The problem was that no one really knew for sure. A lot of people assumed it would be like but that was a premium price to pay when we didn't know 100%. Even through last week, I had people telling me in Facebook groups that they didn't feel confident the first game was is even going to be physical. Something about how overseas games sometimes have a case for a digital code.
Either way, it's not like it was easy to come by and The prices Have always been super high

Holy fuck that stell box is all kinds of awesome with bayonetta 1 & 2 swap image art.SE arrived today! It's so small!
Got my SE in the mail today! Oh my, Bayonetta 2 feels so nice in portable mode and the load times are really fast now. Some of the Amiibo unlock messages are pretty funny as well, even had one for my favorite Animal Crossing loan shark :)
