alastair sim's take on scrooge is easily my favorite of any actor who's ever played him

you really believe the transformation of his character by the end of the film

you can tell he's primarily a stage performer with how well he gets across his emotions in big, sweeping ways. sometimes that can be a distraction in a movie, but with a story as archetypal as almost a play or biblical telling already it fits perfectly

i rewatch this movie at least once a year and each time its a joy

Same, it's the one movie I always make sure to watch before Christmas, and his performance is key.

Muppet Christmas Carol. I also like the Christmas Carol with Picard. Or Christmas Vacation. These three beat all on this poll anyway.

For me its a tough fight between Die Hard, Scrooged, Fred Clause, Home Alone 1/2 and Jim Carrey's The Grinch. This movies are a tradition in my house every December.

It's A Wonderful Life. I've been watching it with my mom every Christmas Eve since I was 8 and I love that tradition. The movie never fails to hit me with emotions and lift my spirits.

So you're gonna put Jack Frost on there but not Home Alone? Or even HA2?
I love Die Hard, which should be my write-in vote despite it seeming like a bad idea to poll like this and have an "other" when there are so many other choices not listed.
