So one of my Amazon packages finally came in. Picked up the Fire Emblem Echoes, Soejima Art Works, Illustration magazine featuring Akihiko Yoshida, and some others. Here are a few images for the books that haven't been posted here yet.
Soejima Art Works
Illustration magazine
It's about 40 pages of his work over the years, and a 6 page interview in Japanese.
I'll probably need a new bookshelf soon.
Oooooh shit, didn't know Justin worked on the game. He's amazing. I'm excited to finish the game just so I can finally open the book :)The Art of God of War arrived today. Very nice book. There's some great work by Vance Kovacs and Justin Sweet in there, I remember them doing concept art for Black Isle back in the day. The other artists are also fantastic, of course. It was just a pleasant surprise to see the old Black Isle artists' work on GoW.

Yup, currently Japanese only. They translated the Awakening artbook (though it took literally 4 years) so I hope it'll come out in English eventually
What's it called, and how much art is in it? I love Hidari's stuff.Yup, currently Japanese only. They translated the Awakening artbook (though it took literally 4 years) so I hope it'll come out in English eventually
I took some other pics of the book, just to show some of the character details they have. Other than these sections, they cover a ton more art, like the basic units, monsters, weapons, and some background from the game. When I was playing Echoes I was drooling at some of the portrait arts so I'm really pleased with this purchase
Any chance you could post the cover for me? I'm getting the Soejima book soon, so I'll be able to order both at the same time! :)There's a few pictures in the quoted post below. I can take more pictures when I get home as well.
It's over 200 pages of just art. This includes completed art for characters, rough sketches, storyboards for the cut scenes, weapon and item designs, and background illustrations. The text seems to mostly be on the character profiles and story for the game, so if you've already played I don't think you'll miss out on much.
The last 30 pages are extras in Japanese, which include support conversations and staff notes.
I think there's also a few Atelier art books that contain his work there as well.

The Atelier books were out of stock last I checked on Amazon JP. :(
Thank you!Fomortiis also posted the amazon link earlier which has all the details: http://amzn.asia/gLGR8fv

So can you still buy books on Amazon Japan internationally or not? I NEED that Echoes book.
Awesome, thanks. All the books I had in my cart now deliver to the US, so at least over here things are fine again.
I know it's not game related but I received my Incredibles 2 art book today. Isn't that movie like a month out still? Is it common for movie art books to drop in advance?
Done.
Didn't know there was a RDR2 artbook coming. Is it up for pre order? Any link to get more info? Can't find anything on amazon.Looks like Rockstar and Rizzoli pushed back the Red Dead Redemption 2 art book a week. Now scheduled for release on November 6th.

Makers of the groundbreaking Grand Theft Auto series, award-winning Bully,Max Payne, L.A. Noire, and many others, Rockstar Games crafted forRed Dead Redemption II the story of outlaw Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang as they rob, fight, and steal their way across the vast and rugged heart of America at the turn of the twentieth century in order to survive.
The Art of Red Dead Redemption II is the official visual companion to Rockstar Games' highly anticipated game release, and is a peek behind the curtain of Rockstar Games and its intensely guarded approach to the creation of the lush, Old West open-world gameplay. A first for this secretive company, Rockstar Games has released storyboards and behind-the-scenes inner workings of the game's creation, with a mix of detailed original art, concept, story, and character studies, sketches, and actual screengrabs of the end result that led to the creation of this spectacular game. The Art of Red Dead Redemption IIis equal parts a collection of behind-the-scenes art of this epic adventure and pictorial love letter to the western genre, and Red Dead Redemption II is sure to captivate both a new gaming audience and devoted fans of Rockstar.
Also I haven't shared my hauls in a while but my LE art book for God of War arrived little over a week ago.
Another great addition to the GoW line of art books. Dark Horse even gives you a digital copy of the book too.
Is this exclusive to a certain store? Amazon doesn't have it. Hope it's not too late.
Yeah it was only available through the PlayStation gear store and is now unavailable.

Thanks. Managed to find it on Amazon Spain with the ISBN code, pre ordered lolAmazon and other retailers listed it a couple of weeks ago, but Rockstar quickly clamped down and all the info was removed. Here's the Amazon link and the saved description.

I just got the Art of Horizon Zero Dawn book and I gotta say I'm pretty disappointed in the low quality of some of the images. There are full-page images in the book that are extremely grainy and in some cases even pixelated. Pretty discouraging, given that I paid full MSRP for it. I wish the Machines got more coverage, like concept art for each unique machine or something.

Yikes. Was originally planning on getting that, but I guess I dodged a bullet. Talk about burying the lead, they've already confirmed Half-Life 2's City 17, Grand Theft Auto V's Los Santos, Yakuza's Kamurocho, Fallout's New Vegas, Silent Hill as some of their "starters".
Should we start a separate thread for this Virtual Cities book to raise awareness and funds?
I disagree. I have The Sky and I have only looked through the third volume once. I think his Famicom-era art is his best work. Not sure if I need to pick up the first Ultimania.Hey guys, I'm not sure how old this is, but I haven't seen anyone mention it. Dark Horses translation of Vol 2 of Final Fantasy Ultimania Archive is up for preorder now.

Before people upset themselves Ultimania Archives is the series of Artbooks covering the whole FF series in 3 volumes not to be confused with the Ultimania books that were guides/companion pieces to individual games. I saw a surprising number of people get confused/upset when Vol 1 was announced so I'm nipping that in the bud right now.
Anyway I'm super excited for this, if I'm honest I prefer the SNES FFs, but I think Amano did his best work during this middle period.
I'll post one tomorrow unless anyone else wants dibs?
