Truly heartbreaking we've lost them all.

Maggie Smith was an immensely talented woman who brought so much depth & presence to her roles. A wonderful body of work she leaves behind for everyone to enjoy.

RIP
Truly someone who absolutely removed whatever mental image I had of McGonagall

Ditto.
RIP.
Both books and movies were huge for me. She was such an amazing cast in this, can't say I'm really familiar with her work outside of this, but here, she was perfect.

Truly one of the greats, with every performance a delight. Even at the great age of 89, it's too soon... Rest in peace.

RIP legend.

Now Snape, McGonagal and Dumbledore (who died a year ago today) are dead. Feels like my childhood heroes are dying one by one :(

RIP a legend of the art
I think I watched Prime of Miss Jean Brodie about 10 times throughout my High School days. My teachers were obsessed with it, though it was set close to where I went to school.

The first movie I ever saw her in was in The Secret Garden (1993) and years later in the HP films

Rest In Peace, Mrs. Medlock/Professor Mcgonagall 🤍🕊️

If you haven't, check out her IMDB. You might be surprised where else you might have seen her. She popped up a lot in smaller roles, like Hook and Sister Act.

Very unfortunate, she was a wonderful actress. She did seem very frail in recent roles so it's not surprising, but it remains a dire loss for acting.

RIP to an icon. I've loved her in everything I've ever seen her in.

Same here. She completely removed my mental image of McGonagall and replaced her. One of the few actors to do so from the movies. She was amazing.

Loved Downton Abbey but she was so underrated in Sister Act, which was where I first saw her. Just absolutely nailed that role. She was superb.

I watched The 1993 Secret Garden like a million times as a kid. She was a fabulous asshole in it and my first real exposure to her lol. (That house was extraordinary too).
